Decode With Sudhir Chaudhary: India’s Cockroach Janta Party movement, which began around the issue of examination systems, has now reached the electoral system. The latest protests have also raised questions about the role of social media creators, self-proclaimed journalists and the growing presence of cameras at protest sites. A complaint was filed against Delhi Police ACP Vivek Bhagat by a woman identifying herself as journalist Rosy, alleging inappropriate behaviour during the protest. The allegation is under investigation, while reports have also raised questions about Rosy’s association with the Cockroach Janta Party. The bigger question is — who qualifies as a journalist, and how should the police and protesters deal with each other when every moment of a protest is being recorded?

Decode With Sudhir Chaudhary:
