UPDATE FEB 2026:
She plead guilty to manslaughter and got sentenced to 10 years.
Brendon was found guilty of aggravated murder. His sentencing is set for May 8th

I feel horrible for the child. Imagine life knowing your dad killed your mom

Sleeping in victim’s room. Sleeping on victim’s bed. And placing photographs of her with the victim’s husband… yes, the audacity is mindboggling. So I can certainly speculate the couple is involved.

UPDATE JAN 2025:

Juliana plead guilty during her trial and says she will testify against Brendon. He was arrested and his trial is set for late 2025. She says she and Brendon set up the fetish account and then barged in acting surprised. Brendon then shot Ryan and proceeded to stab his wife. During that Juliana shot ryan again because he was still moving.

Makes a hell of a lot more sense to me ngl.

Dude, just get a divorce. It’s NEVER that serious.

the fact they didn’t even mention her on the 911 call is insane to me, your wife is bleeding out, how do you not tell them

Just to clarify, she actually in her instagram stories said that they are dating for MONTHS, in plural. Like, more than one month. Not just A MONTH. And that is EVEN WORSE.

UPDATE: HE GOT ARRESTED TODAY!  4 counts of aggravated murder and one count of use of a fiream during the commission of a felony.

EDIT: Did a little bit more research on why it was four counts instead of two. Here is a quote from the Commonwealth Attorney's Office: "The reason we did that is, it’s very lawyerly and technically, but essentially it boils down to in the aggravated murder statute there are a number of different options to prove that,” Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano told WUSA — when explaining the four different counts of murder filed this week. “When we took a look at what we intend to present at trial, we believe our presentation of evidence can possibly hit both of those different subsection elements. We wanted to cover all our bases and make sure the jury had every option that they could want when looking at the evidence.”

Hi Steph
Im from South Africa and we could really use your platform to bring justice. The more noise the world makes, the less likely it is for our justice system to fail us. There was a girl from Caledon who attended Overberg Highschool. Her name is Deveney Nel and she was 16. She was murdered on the 7th of August 2024 by another classmate, Francios Brand who is 17. He beat, raped, stabbed and strangled Deveney to death on the school premises during a school sports day. He proceeded to hide her body in a store room where one of the teachers ended up finding her. Francios Brand helped search parties, knowing what her did to her. When he was 13, he raped an 11yr old girl and left her covered in blood with a wire around her neck. He got away with it, no charges or anything. We need someone with a large platform like yours to spread awareness of the femicide happening in South Africa. We want justice for Deveney Nel and all the other women and girls who has suffered at the hands of men. Please Steph.
Edit: Between the start of April and the end of June, there were 966 women murdered, and 1644 attempted murders of women. There also has been 314 children murdered and 243 attempted murders. South Africa remains with the highest femicide rate globally
Enough is enough, so I am pleading to SPEAK ABOUT THIS. No matter how big or small your platforms are, we need to be the voices for those who can't speak up.

I was an Au Pair and lived with my host family. They took me in and treated me like family and I cannot imagine the AUDACITY this lady had. How cruel.

Wow that nanny must have super hearing , she’s hiding in a basement can hear a stabbing and perfectly what’s being said in an upstairs bedroom ,that’s surely the first red flag !

I work at the same hospital Christine used to work at (peripherally work in a different unit). I never met her but most of the PICU nurses who have been around a few years wear little coke can stickers on their badges in honor of her since she was known to like drinking it at work. I hope she gets justice. She seemed like a wonderful person.

the only victims in this situation is the child and the mum. having to realise that your dad killed your own mother is truly fucked up.

edit: just because i didn’t mention the man doesn’t mean that he’s not a victim. he is also a victim. rip. also i commented this whilst the video was playing so y’all can chill out.

It's shocking how comfortable they both feel in a bedroom that is a crime scene. Strangers would be disgusted by such a room and bed. But they don't! The nanny feels great going to bed with her dead boss's husband in the place where the woman was stabbed. The husband must be heartless to replace his wife with a young nanny so quickly and so remorseless. They are both disgusting and suspicious as hell. I hope they won't escape justice.

I'm Brazilian, and I must say the way she writes about him in her insta story is like she's trying to "hide" the fact that he is her boss. She makes it seem like he's an American guy that she knew and wanted to date while being in America. I don't think anyone mentally sane would post a picture with a Q&A while after her boss's death. Very odd. Anyway, I hope justice will be served. Christine seemed like a lovely woman. May she has found peace in heaven.

edit: the way you tell us the case is really profound and it made me cry thinking about the poor 4 year old. Your job is beautiful and I hope you have strength to help more and more people. Thank you, Steph!! 😊

Some important details that came out in the trial:
1. Christine had a blood clotting disorder and would struggle to clot blood. Her being “into” knife play would be completely out of the question. Her dad testified to this. There was blood everywhere.
2. Christine was a SANE nurse. Meaning she also got certified in sexual assault nursing. Brendan tried to say that she would bring documents from her cases home and look at them for “fun.” There was no evidence of that. This also lead most everyone to believe that she would not be interested in this type of play.
3.  They reviewed Christine’s internet history for the last TWENTY years. The last time she even looked at explicit content was more than 10 years prior.
4. Joseph’s messages were extremely respectful. He was seeking consent and they had Juliana call him on the phone rather than FaceTime to “prove” she was real and give consent. He was fooled and it led to his death. He was a victim.
5. Their daughter was left in the basement during the entire ordeal. Incredibly sad.

There were many many more details but after watching the whole trial these were the things that really got to me. It’s my hope that Christine’s daughter finds peace in knowing her mom was an incredible woman.

Just a small correction, at 25:50 she doesn't say it's been a month, she says it's been MONTHS which is even crazier

He didn't want to loss money from divorce, but wanted out of the marriage and this was what they came up with. Evil people

I’m a young nanny been a nanny for 5 years now and I’ve had almost every husband flirt in some type of way and not once did I persue it and I would speak with the wife and leave the family. This case irks me that their is a stigma on nanny’s and that it happens too often because at the end of the day the one who needs to be loyal is the HUSBAND and they absolutely killed this poor woman

The husband has been charged with wife’s’ murder.  May justice prevail for  Christine. 🙏
