I paint reborn dolls and I use a similar technique. I do similar to you (same sort of colours in the face) but in 3D form. I think of it as the different colours that skin is...blues on bony areas, yellow temples, nose etc, mottling under the skin, layer upon layer.  I love flesh 08 colour as it gives a translucency to the top skin layer. Your work is truly beautiful.

Have you published any books on drawing with pastels….. realistic faces.   I have trouble following your UTube illustrations.

I don’t know how to spell the paper or pencils you use.  I do draw with pastel pencils but only animals and I want to do faces.
