RØDE just launched some amazing new features in the latest firmware update! Make sure you check out my latest video! https://youtu.be/FhW0j9M0S9s

Can’t afford this thing or have multiple cameras and yet I find myself watching your videos all the time. 😂😂

Fantastic video! We just got one of these in our company, and this video alone will save us countless hours getting it to work the way we want and need. Thanks a ton!!!

Button should definitely go live and record.

Just bought my RCV and I am watching your video on the train home.  Thank you, Aaron. 🎉🎉🎉

I can't believe that is one;y a 32 minute video. I kept pausing to try the different things you explained. I have been on it all afternoon :-) Thank you for this excellent tutorial which I have saved for a reference.

Excellent, detailed setup overview. Thank you!

Fantastic tutorial thanks!

This is an excellent tutorial, thank you Aaron! Prepping for the arrival of my RCP 📝

Yes the button doing both REC and going live makes sense!

Excellent tutorial! Thanks, Aaron.

Would love to see how the green screens work too

Awesome!!

Kudos for plugging all the cables in so nicely. My cables are a mess!

Thank you so much for this! After this video I feel like a pro now. I would love to see the picture-in-picture option be other shapes other than square. If also like to have different border options. I'm sure I can make my own. It makes sense to see the record button go red or have the option to stream as well.

Well, it was at least as exciting as you made it out to be when you couldnt tell us what it actually was. It's nice they came out with something VERY different from what other companies are offering. Love the integrated wireless microphone feature and all the USB ports.

Perfect tutorial #fishhobo

Thank you. They let the Master Compellor out? The Rodecaster Pro has that function.

I wonder if there are any plans to add NDI & wireless NDI, and PTZ cameras control?

Excellent video, love the way you explain things.

Our studio has 4 mics, all connected to a RodeCaster Pro II. The RodeCaster Pro II is connected to the Rode VideoCaster (RCII out via USB 2 → RCV in via USB 4). Unfortunately, with this setup, there is no way to match mics to cameras — every camera angle will just receive the Stereo Master Downmix from the RCII. This also means that is also no way to use the auto-switching feature. (Probably a hardware limitation? Or should I keep my hopes up for a firmware update that would allow for this?)

But here's a question about audio delays that I can't find the answer to anywhere: With the setup described above, the audio actually lags behind the video — not the video behind the audio. Depending on the specific camera, the audio from the RCII lags behind the video at about 3-5 frames or between 120-200 ms (at 25 fps).

Both the RCII and RCV have options to set up an audio delay, but there seems to be no way to delay the video, such that audio and video are in perfect sync on the final recordings.

I find this a bit puzzling given that using these two devices together must be a somewhat common use cases?

In case you have any ideas or suggestions, I'd be very curious!
