Russ: It’s over, father. The Eleventh is no more.
Emperor: What?! You… that was a Roman Numeral. II! T-W-O!!
Russ: Oh! So, I need to… okay, okay, two it is.

My  favourite part of the lore will be when Lemam Russ returns in 40k 11th edition with the declaration "it's wolfin' time"

Well, if the Space Wolves ARE hiding the biggest secret in the 40K universe, the Dark Angels are going to be EVEN MORE ANNOYED at them...

19:07 you didnt include the best part! Malc temporarily returns Dorns memories and sees he commanded the erasure and was happy for it

I love this video and I loved your portrayal of Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit films.

The only satisfying answer ive ever seen for the lost primarchs comes from Alan Merritt the guy that first wrote the lost primarch lore in the ultramarines book (it could have been one of the other 2 writers but im pretty sure it was Alan). He wrote it with the idea that the imperium would never forget something as important as an enemy, for instance they will never let horus be forgotten, they need targets for all that hate too much for that. Instead being forgotten was a gift from the emperor for some grand sacrifice or great deeds. They were given a world and then all records were deleted so they could just live.
All the stuff written later just tries to be ultra grimdark and shows that an extra hundred pages of lore doesn't make a mystery any juicier.

2:29 - I think they should retcon him back in as a general in the Imperial Army who just happens to have the same name as the primarch by coincidence, and is/was pissed off at Russ because everyone thinks the Leman Russ tank is named after the primarch when it was actually named after him. 😜

I thought that the "truth of the Primarchs" was the fact the Emperor made their souls out of warp-stuff, which would encourage Russ to learn more about his warpiness in the Eye of Terror. Accepting their origins is like the Jungian Individualization, a process of integration of the Light and Dark, or material and immaterial sides of the Primarchs. Atleast I think this is what Corvus Corax went through to unlock his superpowers

Love the Zach Snider disapproval.

Tim Burton Batman was also weirdly into guns.

The second and eleventh legions were purged because Leman Russ can’t read Roman numerals.

“Excellence of Execution” Leman Russ implies he broke Magnus’ back in the Sharpshooter and I can certainly live with that

I love the thought that even Roboute thinks Leman offed at least one of them. When speaking to Lorgar, he yells out that the Emperor should have fed him to Russ.

Ever read the comic strip "Calvin and Hobbes"? It had "The Noodle Incident". Frequently referred to, never expounded upon.

I like the theories that the Rangdan either:

1. Had mind control powers that turned the legions against each other, or actually take over minds and live inside their brain-hosts. It was so powerful and insidious that there would be no assurance that the affected legions were loyal so they were completely eradicated. Or,

2. The Rangdan were peaceful or somehow enlightened beyond what the imperium was at the time and were not genocidal maniacs, so they convinced the lost primarchs to refuse to fight them or even fight for them against the imperium. Not sure how the details would work out on that one.

These theories definitely have some issues but the whole thing being a mystery makes it fun to come up with "what if" scenarios like this, and to make up and paint your own legions for the tabletop.

I thought the original two lost legions were so gamers could make there own legions

It turns out the "Space Wolves" are mostly dudes and mostly from planets. More like the "Planet Guys".

Steak pie, ale, and Olden Demon. Oh yeah, we're Friday nighting tonight boys

best recap of Stamford bridge ive heard in a while

So, I'm at the first third of the video, and my only assumption about the secret is that Zack Snyder was the 19th primarch, and had to be purged by Leman Russ, because he wouldn't sell him a Bidet.
