Mega Man 5 was the first Mega Man game I beat as a kid and knowing it was easier is nice. Glad they did that so kid me got to feel accomplished and then went back to beat the other games.

1:00 I'd be interested in more about megaman 6

Mega Man 6 was always my favorite. 8yo me loved the jet adapter.

Mega Man 5 has very creative level design like the Gravity Switching in Gravity Man’s Stage or the Falling Crystals in Crystal Man’s Stage.

Dude. The robot master lineup has always made me smile for this game. I don't expect this batch to become my favorite over the many years of playing mega man but somehow at the end of it, I absolutely adore the designs and weapons. The music kicks ass and the stages are so well designed.

megaman 4 5 6 were the first ones i played as a child, and even when i was young i preferred to beat the entire game with only the mega buster. i didnt even know the boss weapons were super effective against other bosses until a few years ago.

MM5 is most likely my own personal favorite of the classic franchise due to many reasons you established in the video, but also because of the music! I know it might sound a bit weird to bring up the soundtrack considering there's hardly a bad music track in the entire MM NES catalog, but for instance, I just love Dark Man's theme and think it's got to be one of the best chiptune tracks from this era of gaming.

Mega Man 5 lover here! This was one of the last NES games we bought when I was a kid and I played it so much more than any other Mega Man game as a kid. I still love it to this day.

7:44 it’s all of them.
that’s why in my difficulty ranking, I dedicated an entire tier just to the MM5 robot masters. They are some of the most ‘X and Y co-ordinate’ boss fights I’ve seen in a video game. On top of that, all their room layouts are the exact same flat box room

One of the first times I played MM5, we were listening to Elton John's greatest hits, and even now, every time I play the Star Man stage I get "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" stuck in my head.

This video just dropped right before I began a stream of Mega Man 5 for a friend. Now that's a crazy coincidence if I ever saw one.

Mega Man 5 is one of my favorite Mega Man games, and coming back to it is always a great time. From the soundtrack, to the level design, it's one of the most polished games I've played.

Honestly Megaman 5 was the 2nd game in the series I played so it kinda helped me really get hyped into the series and i still love it! :D

Something I don’t hear enough about is how awesome the charge shot sounds in 5

I'm SO glad to see Mega Man 5 getting some love!! It's my favourite of the NES games! I've never really been sure why I love this one so much (especially since most people don't), but I think you made a great point about MM5 being optimized and well made. As someone who started with the X series, I could feel the roughness around the edges of the first few games. MM1-3 were especially hard for me to get into, lacking the charge shot, and 1-2 even lacking the slide. Sure, MM5 doesn't really bring anything new or unique to the table, it felt like a PERFECTION of everything that had been introduced before it

As someone who has all Megaman NES games and replayed them all recently: 5 is my favorite. It’s the most “summer blockbuster” of all of them.

I always went back to Mega Man 5 to start my marathon through every Mega Man game and every time I had a blast and tried something new. Anyways, great video!

Mega Man 5 has a wonderful soundtrack, too. Gravity Man’s theme is one of my favourite NES Mega Man tunes. The Wily Castle theme is so good that people assume someone else must have written it.

It’s just one of the many things about this game that’s just fun. Hard to walk away without a smile on your face.

I'd love to see a video about how ridiculous (and awesome) (and ridiculously awesome) the Super Arrow is.
