don't forget to drop some suggestion for non-marvel movies we have to watch next! i need some options for the Patreon polls!

Alex, "I hope y'all don't like me reacting to horror movies". Us, hell fucking yes we do!! 🤣

"The parents in this movie only come out to bitch at the kids." Trust me, that's how it seemed to us gen-xers growing up in the 70's and 80's.

That intro gives me serious "It's 3am and Pennywise just text me" energy.

The book said something like, IT instills fear in the kids bc it's just like salting the meat (or putting seasoning on steak)   It's delicious to It

Alex: "Stephen King has a twisted mind"

Us: "Should we tell him about THAT scene in the book?"

"You'll float too" references to how dead bodies float.

My new favorite hobby. Watching Alex watch horror movies and then laugh my butt off every time he jumps. New drinking game!

"All these kids just killing their parents, what the hell is going on in this-- AHHHH!!"🤣🤣

I’d be fine with you not doing horror movie reactions, but you do need to do Chapter 2 of this.  The book is both chapters combined, and it goes back and forth between the past and present the whole time, so this doesn’t feel complete without the part where you see them as adults.  For the movies, they split up the past and present and it feels weird after reading the book.  Anyway, I did enjoy your thoughts and reactions and hope to see Chapter 2 at some point!

So talking about Beverly's dad, he basically blames her for her mom's postpartum suicide. He explains in detail about how she killed herself and developed a creepy obsession with his daughter which turned abusive and sexual.
She cut her hair because he always strokes it and talks about how much he loves it

The creepiest scene in this movie, and I can’t explain why, is the librarian staring at Ben while he reads the newspaper articles.

I love that the jumpscare counter broke when penny wise broke through the wall with the projector images.

Fun fact: The reason why most adults are closing their eyes to the strange occurences, like the elder Lady in the beginning, is because of Pennywise‘s influence so it can feed on children a lot easier.

Fun facts for you: anytime you see Pennywise with his eyes crossed, that's not CGI. Bill Skarsgard can actually do that on cue. And the scene where Pennywise climbs out of the fridge in the old house was partly practical because Bill is also a contortionist.

Also relisten to "IT Is The End" now that you'll get the references.

Here in 2025, still waiting for it chapter 2 reaction

Hands down. 19:30 is my favorite jumpscare reaction. 🤣

19:30 "All these kids just killing thier parents what the hell is going on in this fu- AHHHHHHHHHHH" Best thing ever

Alex, you should definitely watch The Silence of the Lambs and do a reaction to it. It won the Oscar for best picture the year it came out. It’s horror and suspense in a real world kind of way, but without all the jump scares. It would be a good juxtaposition between both types of horror movies, to finish seeing IT Chapter 2 and then see Silence of the Lambs, after you’ve taken an adequate horror brake.

"Finn Wolfhardt" is such a badass name, and such a good actor.
