From Washington, D.C., the mayor of Málaga, Spain, Francisco Manuel de la Torre Prados, spoke with NTN24 about current tourism partnerships and the ties between Spain and the Venezuelan dictatorship.
“Málaga has a strategy to be strong in culture and technology, which are complementary areas. This way, Málaga's talent can stay and take advantage of emerging opportunities, making it a competitive city for any European city that aspires to be advanced,” he commented.
De la Torre also spoke about Google's headquarters in Málaga, stating that it is a very important “investment” and that Dublin and Munich are also being considered.
“The cybersecurity strength lies in Málaga,” he remarked.
Finally, he addressed the political situation in Spain and the ties between the government of Pedro Sánchez and the Venezuelan regime led by Delcy Rodríguez, starting with their greeting at the United Nations General Assembly.
“Ultimately, this demonstrates that there has been more than excessive collaboration between the Spanish government and the Maduro regime (...) Delcy represents today what the Maduro regime has been,” he said.
