working in delivery must be insane

I lived there for 6 months! The city is so big that you don’t need to leave your own district, cause each district is a million people city by itself!

Peter: „This luxury hotel room only costs 50€“
- proceeds to spend 1300€ in karaoke bar -

Let me explain why Peter spent $1,300 at KTV. In China, the cost of drinks and snacks at KTV is generally acceptable, around $100-200 for 4-5 people. However, some KTVs offer singing services with girls, and you need to pay a tip of about $150-200 for each girl. This is part of a gray area that isn't fully legal in China, which is why Peter didn’t record everything in the video.  LOL

This city looks futuristic and probably the closest thing you see in movies like Blade Runner and games like Cyberpunk... Only missing thing is flying cars all around.

Many YouTubers post Chongqing videos, but Peter always has something different, his humor and perspective are uniquely entertaining

imagine you're jetlagged and try to get to your hotel room in this city.  you might as well spend the first two nights living on the streets while looking up your hotel building.

As a Chongqing citizen, I have to say that this is literally the best video about my city I’ve ever seen, even better than all the official tourism promotion videos, really great job Peter!❤❤

The capybara casually coming into frame surprised me 😂

The most perplexing thing about this city is the fact that your hotel room was only $50.

I stumbled across Chongqing about 2 years ago when browsing the internet.
I was shocked that there was just this massive behemoth city chilling out in central china that no one knows about, and not only that the city is wonderful in it's aesthetic.

When I visited Chongqing in August, the locals clarified that the actual inner city—the area featured in most videos—has a population of about 7 million. That was the impression I got too. It’s still a massive and impressive city, but it’s not the 32-million-strong mega-city it’s often portrayed as. The 32 million figure includes the entire Chongqing municipality, which spans a vast area about the size of Austria, encompassing many rural regions and smaller urban clusters. If you look at Google Earth, you’ll notice that the dense architecture seen in the city center isn’t spread uniformly across the entire district. This distinction is often overlooked, leading to some misleading portrayals of Chongqing’s size.

I have been to Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Tokio and Chongqing. Chongqing by far the biggest city I have been, by far the most beautiful and the most mysterious city in the planet.

I'm sorry, but its not quite true that Chongqing is thelargest city in the world by population and area. Its because Chongqing is an administrative region that includes a massive area with many rural parts and small towns. When comparing just the urban populations, cities like Tokyo and Shanghai are much larger. Similarly, in terms of the actual urban area, cities like New York and Beijing are bigger. So, while Chongqing's administrative region is indeed vast and populous, its actual urban core isn't the largest by either population or area.

I still don’t understand why you don’t have 5 million viewers. Smart, insightful, educational and funny. Thanks for sharing these places and experiences most of us will never get to.

I am currently living in Chongqing. If I had known you were coming, I would have accompanied you!! Great video! I love this city. Greetings from a Colombian living in China😃

The fact that I have actually heard of Chongqing and been there before makes me feel so special.

my anxiety couldn't deal with trying to figure out if I'm on the right city floor 😆😂

Chongqing was for a long time in my bucket list of places to visit, that city looks magical at night

Thanks! Been watching for years, and wanted to drop some gratitude. Haven't wanted to visit China until this vid
