This place is closed, and under criminal investigation. Thanks for exposing this scam.

Thank you guys for this video. I am not proud that these scams are happening in my country.
On the other hand: IF SOMEONE IS GOING TO VISIT BUDAPEST, OR HUNGARY, BE AWARE THAT YOU CAN PAY WITH CARD IN EVERY CAFE, IN EVERY RESTAURANT. BECAUSE THESE PLACES ARE OBLIGED BY THE LAW TO PROVIDE A BANK TERMINAL.
So if the waiter does not want to accept card, just call the police.

This is actually becoming a big news piece in Hungary with many major news portals covering your story. The mayor of the district  reported the place to both the Police and the tax authorities.

Even the CEO of the official marketing agency of the city of Budapest made a video thanking you. He also went to the bar and put large stickers on the window telling visitors to stay away from this place.

You are making actual difference my man!

Update:

The place closed down permanently. The mayor reported on his FB that the bar is already off the local registry.

The Police investigation is still underway though, the whole story is dealt with as a big public embarrassment for the city.

When the people needed him the most, he came back.

I swear those guys were the best thing that happened to YouTube

Actions are actually being taken against these scammers now, I'm glad you exposed them, Peter. As a Hungarian myself, I was truly disgusted by it.

The bartender just opens the place when the two h̶o̶e̶s̶ I mean women bring someone, yet she doesn't know it's a scam. That's laughable!

The waitress MUST know what is going on - she is serving overpriced diluted drinks to this same women over and over again. What a joker!

Thanks to you the authorities and the police started to investigate the place. The owner has dissapeared. Nice job man.

I feel bad for Lajos. He missed out all the fun and was even made fun of :(

That bartender was 100 percent in on the scam. She keeps the door locked, serves rounds without them being ordered, blurts out the owner is in Israel, & sees this happening every day. Total scammer.

You guys seriously think the server didn’t know about this? She just turned on a “fool” mode on. She was the one who said you need to pay 210 euros, opened a restaurant which was closed and etc. Obviously she’s with them.
Anyway, good job detectives 🕵️‍♂️ 👏

last night i peed on this bar’s door as a revenge

9:39 Vlad went from "I work in a farm" to "Yeah, I work in tech".

Vlad went from knowing a couple of simple words in broken English to full on speaking English with an exceptional accent. Good job Vlad!

They asked me the same question, if I can speak Hungarian.  It happened to me in 2019, but when they invited me into the bar, I asked to sit downstairs near the door.  When they wanted to order drinks, I told them everyone pays for themselves then they got upset.  I wanted to take a photo with them, but they refused and kicked me out of the bar.

You know it is a scam when they pretend to go to a random bar and then asks: "But how does it work for 7 years?"
