Imagine a hunted, exiled thinker, living in poverty, burying his children one by one, yet convinced that understanding the world is the first step to transforming it. This video tells the true story of Karl Marx, far removed from slogans and caricatures: the story of a man of flesh and blood, caught in the political storms, family dramas, and economic upheavals of the 19th century.
From Trier to Paris, from Brussels to London, we follow the journey of an intellectual obsessed with a simple yet dangerous question: why do some live in abundance while others die of hunger? Philosopher, journalist, revolutionary despite himself, Marx gradually forged a radical analysis of capitalism, born not in the comfort of academia, but in poverty, illness, and exile.
But what remains of Marx today? Was he the prophet of a more just world or the unwitting inspiration behind immense tragedies? This history explores his legacy without dogma: his ideas, their distortions, their failures, but also their unsettling relevance in the face of modern inequalities, economic crises, and social tensions.
