Cover of “My Propeller” — Arctic Monkeys

The song opens Humbug, the band’s third studio album, released in 2009. Its darker atmosphere, restrained tempo, and heavier guitar textures make it a clear introduction to the more psychedelic and mature direction Arctic Monkeys explored during this period.

“Pretty Visitors” was originally planned to be the third single from Humbug, but the band ultimately chose “My Propeller” instead. It was officially released as a single in March 2010.

I focused on preserving the dark atmosphere and controlled intensity of the original recording, particularly the bass tone and the gradual build of the song.
