When it comes to the whole "patina" story, I have a completely different opinion than most people.  It is the same with antique furniture.  I once saw an episode of Antiques Road Show, where a woman brought a large furniture piece that she had found on a roadside and had completely restored.  It was magnificently beautiful.  The wood veneers and  finishes were beautiful colors.  She had photos of before and after.  The "expert" told her she should not have had it refinished because it was now worth only $1,700 whereas if she had left the "patina" on it it would be worth 10 times as much.  This is weird to me.  The original cabinet maker made that piece with the intention that it look a certain way.  After years of gunk and dirt, it wasn't what he intended.  Besides, who would ever want to put the filthy looking piece of crap in their home? IMO-the whole "patina" nonsense is like the Emperor's New Clothes.  No one wants to state the obvious.

Back then Sears sold 16 Gauge shotgun shells that had 4-dram equivalent of powder. They worked in my Mossburg 16 Bolt action with that big fat poly choke on the front just great. Lots of squirrels and rabbits and pheasants to take back home. Used 5 shot for everything.

Question if I may... What is the dye you used for the Acraglass? The little plastic tubes that the Acraglass comes with are woefully inadequate...

I would check the straightness of the barrel opposite the soldered lug with a straight edge. It's likely drawn towards the lug after it cooled, so you can wrap the lug with a wet rag and throw a diamond shaped heat spot on top of the barrel opposite the lug , cool it with a damp rag until its straight again.   Im no know it all, but I've been a certified pipe welder for 56 years while doing all my own gunsmith work. You can use TIG to braze also which can help with heat , a little. There's a cold blue gel made by Birchwood Casey  you may like.

I don’t buy new in box guns. I take everyone of them down as far as they need to be and I DO THE MAITENANCE! Many of my favorites are old top break revolvers and WWII milsurps. I really love them all. I think my next obsession is going to be gallery guns and Eastern Block Cold War pistols. Love the videos. They have taken me to the next level.
