Beautiful. 30 years as a Protestant—I tried lots of flavors, Lutheran, Methodist, Anglican, Non-denom evangelical. Became Orthodox 2 years ago along with my family, and there is no going back. The grass isn’t greener. It’s like something else altogether. Glory to God, Christ is risen!! ☦️
When I converted 30 years ago, most people had truly never heard of Orthodoxy. The truth is now so easy to find! It is an exciting time we live in, where people from all backgrounds are finding the Orthodox Church. God bless you and strengthen you. Thank for sharing your story.
Becoming Orthodox years ago was the best decision I have ever made as a 36 year old man. I found the fullness of Christ, and a way of life that I didn’t know I needed.
I feel you brother. I was more anxious about my salvation as a Protestant than when I'm an Orthodox now. The Protestant mindset tends to be judgemental to yourself and others if they are saved or not. Only in Orthodoxy I understood the best way to salvation is humility and love for others, and we should love not because of one's faith, but who they are (God's creation). Christ is Risen!
You were talking something Orthodox this, Orthodox that, and then you shifted to WE this WE that.... I thought to myself "Brat" (meaning brother in Serbian) and crossed myself in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, with huge smile on my face! I enjoyed listening, great story! Much love Orthodox brother ☦
Good stuff man. My wife and I have been attending an OCA parish in town for a month or so now. It’s beautiful, everything I’ve always been looking for in Christianity and more.
Many years ☦️
