That's Florence Henderson, Mrs. Brady from the Brady Bunch.  On the wall stunt, it was Buster Keaton in 1928 in the film Steamboat Bill, Jr.

"I did my own stunt in that one, I could have died, because the Buster Keaton gag of the falling barn, the falling house, there’s a barn frame that falls on top of me. And that’s all real, that’s not a camera effect or anything like that. They wanted to make sure that the barn frame wouldn’t torque or move. So what they did was they reinforced it with steel. So this thing weighed a ton, probably literally. They said, ‘You have to stand right here in this little square, don’t move. Because if you move, literally, you will die.’ So we did one take of that, and I did some of my best acting I’ve done in my life. I had to pretend like I wasn’t scared out of my mind". ~ Weird Al in a GQ interview

Gangsta Paradise by Coolio is largely sampled from Stevie Wonder’s Pastime Paradise.  Coolio being pissed off at Weird Al was unwarranted, since he basically appropriated Wonder’s song.

everyone misses the Gilligans Island reference. you should do more Weird Al videos, the man has a huge library

Buster Keaton is who you are thinking about with the house stunt.

In the bridge of the song it says " there's no phone, no lights, no motor car, not a single luxury ".Well that is pulled straight from the lyrics of the Gilligans Island theme song.

Weird Al for Super Bowl halftime!!!

The reason Coolio was mad was because HE didn't give the OK to to the parody, his label did. He knew nothing about it.

That's the brady bunch mom

Weird Al doesn't just do parodies, he also records original songs. Usually in the style of just about any music style or artist style. That also says a lot about his band as well, who have been with him for decades. He's been doing this since college . Try another one rides the bus, eat it or fat. Dare to be stupid is a great one too, done in the style of Devo.

Side fact, weird Al has been producing parodies for more than 40 years and he doesn’t drink or do drugs and it’s never been arrested!

Ray definitely needs to be shown 'All About the Pentiums' and 'White and Nerdy'.

Did you catch the Gilligans Island theme song in the lyrics?🤔🥥

The reason that Coolio was upset, was because nobody asked him for permission to do it, but it wasn't Weird Al's fault. Weird Al always asks permission from the artist before doing these, so he reached out to the record company involved with Coolio and expected them to talk to Coolio for him and when he got the OK, he thought that they had so. The record company didn't say a word to Coolio. Weird Al made this epic and parody and you have to wonder if it was just pure, destined, luck that Coolio was left out. If he had of been asked, he might have said no and this amazing parody would never have existed...

The barn falling gag was Al’s nod to Buster Keaton.

He was the king of spoofs parody’s in my house in the 90’s. Maybe in the 80’s, but I can’t remember. We always played his albums and laughed so much. He is the king of covers. He also is close to 70… but doesn’t look a day older than 53.

Weird Al learned to sing backwards for the slow motion through the farmyard at the end

I hope some day the international music community is able to support another Weird Al.  The music industry did everything they could to get in his way but his humor, his talent and his humanity shone through.  We have always had humorous performers but Weird Al was the first to really break through into the mainstream.  Who knows if that will ever happen again, and it makes me a little sad because I think we all need this.

The crazy thing is there are actually a lot of musicians that have approached Weird Al to parody them.  In addition, think how wicked talented Weird Al and his band have to be to parody songs in all the difference genres they have.

Wall falling scene is Buster Keaton from the silent movie "Steamboat Bill Jr", done in 1928. Lots of Easter eggs in this video.
