I finally know where Sega got the inspiration for Shadow the Hedgehog.

I never played this game growing up, but it would have been very impressive in 1993.

The only thing that was frustrating about the super scope was I used to set it on turbo so it would be a lot easier to hit every target in sight, but it would use up the batteries very quickly.

Mario is wielding the super scope!

I think design of super scope is really weird by having fire button on the top, like an Anti-Tank weapon (e.g M72) rather than on the grip like a rifle...

What!!? A first person shooter in 1993? And it’s a Mario game !

I owned a Super Scope in the early 00s. It was dirt cheap from a game shop and came with the 6-in-1 cart. I enjoyed it but never ended up picking up other games for it. This looks like it would have been legitimately fun as a child. Too bad it wasn't released with the Super Scope -- it could have potentially increased sales and helped encourage more games to be developed for the peripheral.
