This game still holds up as one of the best mario games ever.

I remember as kids, alot of my friends had a super nintendo and we all were hunting these secret exits. We spend hundrets of hours exploring every single level. After one of us found an exit, we all met in school the next day and told everyone we found another one. After school we immediately rush to our bikes and went to that friends home to show us where it is! Damn man, those were the days! The Internet kids today will never understand

I can't help spitting the key out of Yoshi's mouth when you activate the secret key hole just before the level ends, that way you get to hear that satisfying "Baow!"

Crazy how I found all of these as a teenager with no resources.. Now, replaying it in my 40s, I've had to look up how to find several secret exits

I remember when my father and older brother brought home a SNES the day it released. It came with Super Mario World. We stayed up so late playing it that night. Such a great memory.

I remember racking my brain as a kid seeing torpedo Ted in the credits and not knowing where to find him! Absolutely my favorite Mario game!

I remember searching EVERY nook and cranny of that game for secrets. Found all 96 organically as a kid. Man that was a great game.

Tubular was the bane of my existence as a kid haha😂

How in the world was I figuring this stuff out in 1991?  I was FIVE!!!

As kid in the late '90s, I discovered almost all of the secret exits without any info from the internet, except the 3rd star in the bridge area. I can still remember the feeling of joy everytime you find another one, most especially the 1st star in World 2, it was so hyped that time, all the kids came near to watch how I battle the big boo.

Top Secret Area is the only secret exit I didn't know existed back in the day. As a kid I found everything except that one.

Donut Ghost's secret exit is genius because the mass of boos seems almost unpassable, with how random they are. Being given access to Top Secret Area really is deserved for figuring out that one

Number 8 is the ultimate reward. The stage with the blue Yoshi. For those not in the know, the blue Yoshi has the ability to fly, regardless of the color of the shell in it's mouth.
Number 1 is the exit that started the meme. The sacrificial yoshis

Another childhood favorite. I actually found everything as a kid. Never got tired of this game.

Super Mario World has so many cool bonus areas and secret exits that really stick out. It's why it's still my favorite Mario game to this date.

So not only do i miss my childhood,  now you're telling me I missed some of my childhood.  I feel like I havent fully reached adulthood now knowing I have to go back and complete these.

Doing all this stuff as a young'un was magical.

I like how number six's pipe entrance is disconnected from the ground, but if only the exit pipe was disconnected from the ceiling too.

15:30 I agree. This was the last exit I found. At that time I had no magazines, internet or smart friends. So it took me years to figure it out. Who would want to sacrifice Blue Yoshi?

So many Yoshis just ruthlessly discarded as though they were used tissues.  Truly a sad day for all involved.
