Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers - Interview with KATHLEEN KINMONT

Happy Horror Time

Welcome to our interview with KATHLEEN KINMONT!

Kathleen Kinmont made quite an impression in “Halloween 4” playing Kelly Meeker — the sheriff’s daughter who got with Rachel’s man and made us all want to rock a “Cops do it by the book” shirt.

Tune in to hear all about bringing this character to life, her thoughts on Halloween 4’s classic love triangle, how her very physical death scene was filmed, and stories from playing the Bride in “Bride of Re-Animator” and other genre films throughout her career.

Beauty! I also like how much she praises her mom and how she instilled boundaries at a young age she knew what the business was like. And now she’s done the same with her own daughter ❤

"Well that was worth the $7.50 right there." Is such an 80s quote.

Thanks for this interview! I was born in 1973 and it seems like I have seen Kathleen in things all my life, and coincidentally I just happened to be watching Hardbodies last night, which she was in! Watching it at 53 versus when I watched it at 12 gives one a different perspective. It was a small role, but I'm glad she was in it. .... Cheers from a Generation X'er in northeast Ohio!

Rush Week, H4 and Bride of Reanimator were the movies that I recognized her from. I watched Renegade in the 90s and was like "where do I know her from?" She's got a good sense of humor, it's a good thing she had proper guidance from her mom to navigate the business.

Great interview here guys! Halloween 4 is a classic and probably the best of the sequels. I had a school boy crush on Kathleen when I was a kid.

She looks amazing at 61

It was hard to look away from her cops T shirt in the movie for a couple reasons.

This was a great interview! Kudos to her for standing her ground so early on in her career regarding nudity. As she admitted however, she definitely went on to do a nude scene or two, most notably in the comedy Fraternity Vacation (with none other than Barbara Crampton)!
