Great pick-ups. The Lee Morgan 1557 is gorgeous.

I love that sonny rollins. I wouldn't get rid of that og page one, and far cry would be a keeper as well.

Excited to watch your Coltrane video! Can't wait!

Really nice pickups, Ryan. I agree, I was a surprised the Sonny Clark Trio Tone Poet had such a lukewarm reception — I love it. Looking forward to the next podcast! — Mike

im also lucky enough to found a early Mark Murphy  record on capitol records, he is a underrated jazz singer!!

Fantastic pickups, Ryan. Thanks so much for the shout out - I'm stoked you are enjoying vol3. That's gotta be in my top 10 jazz albums as well. But holy crap! You got that Wilbur Harden! It's amazing you found one!
Quite a stack there, my friend. I'm noticing you are getting more into vocal jazz lately? I have not been a huge vocal jazz guy myself but there are some albums I cannot live without, such as Helen Merrill.
Love the video.
Can't wait for the Coltrane one.

I’m glad you enjoyed the records, brother! You’re always hooking me up and sending me straight heat. The new chair looks good and to be honest, I think that might be the best pickup of the year LOL! The Hampton Hawes Vol. 3 is easily one of my favorite albums I own. The fidelity is great and I am glad I got to put a copy in your hands! I can’t wait for that copy of Go! And if you decide to sell that copy of Far Cry and Page One, let me know!

I heavily recommend ‘That’s Just The Way I Want To Be’ by Blossom Dearie, if you don’t already know it! Nice background story to her song ‘Hey John’ too! Thanks for sharing!

Wow what an amazing set of pick ups, definitely some new things for me to explore. When you showed the McCoy I turned green....it’s been on my want list for ever and it’s so hard to find in the Uk. Great video 🙏

Superb Ryan, great finds...i love  your passion, i wish i had your knowledge and also jazz records stores here in the UK

Killer scores, man! Ilya really is the best. So happy you finally have a copy of Vol. 3! Happy to help out and get you some good albums. Tons of killer stuff here. Kept blowing my mind! I appreciate the tags too! Cheers, dude

Mitzi Gaynor, cool, ive seen  a few of her movies, she has a good voice!

you are correct ryan, MGM took over verve records,id say about 1961 or 1962!

The music on When Farmer Met Gryce was originally released on two ten-inches by Prestige in '54 and '55

You ought to look into the group Pink Martini

'Onya young fella. I reckon you must be an old Soul as your tastes are exquisite for your years. I think maybe you should be on with the Jazz Bums and give them a kick....  along. Love your work. Dig Jazz!

i have a re-issue of the lucy ann polk record on interlude records!!

I have that Dexter Gordon (my only LP of his)! Haven't played it in a while, but thought it was good. I have both the Mitzi Gaynor recordings on CD, at. 24/96 resolution; nice and clean-sounding. On another note, I see you have the records outside the jackets; what would be the reason for that? Thanks.

Why would you sale GO?
