What's your thoughts on this one vs the budget buy CD players from SMSL for example?

Got one a few weeks ago, took a while to ship, I am glad it doesn’t come with a power plug. I line it out through a Marshal, Acton iii and I must say it’s a very nice pairing any genre sounds good. Last century instant plug in and play chorded power is the kind of dependability that Gen Xers can really get into :)

That ripping feature would be great for creating some music for the car.

I happened to have an old Apple SuperDrive and just plugged it into my Eversolo dmp a6….and my cd collection was reborn.

Maybe the next model, but it would be useful if you could use the player vertically. I would place it next to the CD's on the shelve or even mount it on a wall or keep it on a table. At the moment it takes the maximum amount of room for a thing that is ultra small. There is a good reason why we keep CD's vertically.

Acrylic doesn't shatter like glass. When scratches, it pretty much stays scratched. When acrylic scratches, toothpaste on soft rag buffs it out

Cool little player. Good on Fosi.

Merak is also a Maserati made in the 1970s to early '80s.

Good Job.

Hmm. This might work out for my system. I'm using an SMSL SA300 as my desktop sound for gaming, movies, audio. All sourced from my pc. Two small Klipsch speakers and a little subwoofer provide all I really need. But I also still have a rather large pile of CDs.
The small footprint of this works in its favor and the price point is definitely appealing.
Thanks for your concise overview!

As an owner of hundreds of gapless recordings, nothing is more important to me than gapless playback. The alternative seems just as silly as a self-driving car that stops at every intersection regardless of the color of the traffic light.

It's refreshing to see someone give an uncolored evaluation. Thank you.

Nice to see 1 of these that's not trying to be portable. Also, that 💿 w/ a 🌟 spinning may have thrown me into a seizure.
