Thankfully I use Tidal

Since tvOS 27, the Apple TV’s HDMI output is no longer limited to 48 kHz. Lysonic is no longer needed, I connect the Apple TV directly to my DAC via HDMI, and it outputs 192 kHz.😉

I use bit perfect app or audirvana.

Oh, this is almost exactly what I have been waiting for. Finally. Although, knowing my luck, there will undoubtedly be some spanner in the works as per.

Hi Darko, how do you charge the ipad while we are using the lighting port to usb to connect it to the amp?

A couple things IOS 27 makes linsonic redundant? And white are on the Neil young album are the outfitting album gain or individual track gain? Could you review this again with iOS 27 in mind incl new Apple TV

Well the last words in your excellent video are perhaps the most important. It requires an iPad. Moreover you actually have to have an additional Apple device as the remote. I reckon most/all Apple Music subscribers have one mobile device. But perhaps one should add the related cost of one additional apple device to the 12 USD for the app to compare the same fruits.
As a Roon user, such a solution looks quite weird for myself. I would really rather appreciate Roon/Apple Music integration. In my view, this would technically kill Qobuz for me, or at least I would stop paying for. I currently subscribe to Apple, Qobuz as well as Tidal and this is extreme.

I might be missing something obvious, but is it one time cost for all your platforms (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV), or do you pay for each one?

One more option I haven’t seen talked about is the native control from iPhone/ipad of the playback of an Apple TV , HomePod or even Sonos amp , all done from the Music app.

For years, I tried every conceivable setup to stream Apple Music bit-perfectly from my Mac Studio to a Marantz ND8006 without constantly having to adjust the sample rate in macOS Audio MIDI Setup. The one available third-party software solution was unreliable and just didn't feel right. Eventually, I got fed up with paying the price—in the form of endless hassles—for my expensive obsession with Apple products. So now, I pay an extra CHF 15 a month for Qobuz. In return, I have the perfect solution: excellent macOS and iOS apps, and Qobuz Connect support for all my Hi-Fi gear, including HEOS and WiiM. No more using mobile devices as intermediaries for streaming; instead, lossless music goes directly to the playback device. I regret every second I wasted on Apple Music.

Thank You! This is useful for anyone using Apple Music regardless of the level of systems. I’m now sitting in my living room, listening to my system using a lowly iPad connected to my Audioquest Dragonfly with its signature color designator displaying the streaming through the DAC. All while using my iPhone to control the action! Perfect!

There is a very good option from Wadia for your needs, I have been using the Wadia 171 or Wadia 170 for many years now, these devices were designed specifically to work with apple phones back in the days when phones with 30-pin connectors appeared, the point of the Wadia 170 and Wadia 171 technology is to capture digital signals without bit loss, today 30-pin phones have lost their relevance, but you can use adapters from 30 to usb c, I am very happy with the Wadia technology and I am happy that I did not sell these devices at the time, you can read more information about Wadia digital cameras on the Internet, now they can be found on the secondary market at a reasonable price.

try "real shuffle" and "remote shuffle" , its better and cheaper

@MrMadMax777 4 weeks ago

wow, if I were roon, I’d start to worry. they still don’t have apple music integrated, and this simple app + cheap used iPad from the second-hand market could be a very solid alternative. The only con is the USB connection itself, I think it’s the worst audio connection out there.
