Season 3 made me realize Georgia isn’t that great of a mom, and I think the show is aware of that. But they’re also aware that she’s the only mom Ginny and Austin have and they had to do what it took to protect her. That’s very nuanced and mature for a show to address. Usually they make moms overly perfect and caring or straight up narcissistic. You can really tell they’re trying to improve the show after the feedback and I appreciate that

I think the worst part about Ginny’s “go to school so they know we’re normal” thing was she was CONSTANTLY skipping which was a luxury that Austin didn’t have

GOD its so refreshing to see someone that doesn’t approve to EVERYTHING georgia says and does 😩😩

They needed to add a new friend named like Oliva or smh, so that MANG couldve been MANGO and that wouldve been so much better omg

season 3 is gut wrenching the writers rly stepped it up in s3

Even if Georgia’s 3rd baby daddy isn’t Joe I’m pretty sure he & Georgia are endgame - the way she straight up confessed to being a serial killer to him and then they still slept together was absolutely wild 😂

Btw zion doesn’t have a key. Georgia just keeps the door unlocked 24/7 for some reason

I felt so terrible for Maxine during this season. She was very relatable to me, especially with how she feels really strong emotions all the time and can't seem to control them, and how that leads to her spiralling when nobody seems to care about her as much as she cares about them. They also did a really good job portraying the pain of slowly being isolated from your best friends, the final episode had me tearing up a little because it felt so real to things I've personally experienced. This could just be projection, but she reads as neurodivergent to me, which would explain a lot about her behaviour and how everyone misunderstands her. I really can't wait to see how they develop her character in the next season, I hope that she gets her justice.

I loved this season but at the same time, I just couldn’t get behind why they had Georgia kill Cynthia’s husband. The show for the most part sold the idea that Georgia only kills in self defense. I dislike that they tried throwing in the idea that you should end the suffering of others. It was really stupid and that’s what hospice is for.

Justice for Max....

It was never supposed to be Paul. It was always Joe. Paul was too sheltered to handle Georgia frfr.

i think that season 4 georgia is gonna run for mayor agaisnt paul

To me the scene with Marcus breakdrown was one of the best and authentic scenes, exactly because there were no tears. I cried watsching it, because It deeply resonated with me. I generally think the way Marcus is portrayed in Season 3 depicts severe depression in a very realistic way. Him just lying in his bed with minimal facial expression. That is how depression feels like for me. I am in an out of depressive Episodes and I grew up with a mom who has Depression since I was 12. Crying and sadness can be a symptom but it’s not like that for everybody. To me emotional numbness is one of the worst symptoms, when I experience it myself and when loved ones experience it. I litterally can‘t cry when I am depressed and I hate it. I can show up when someone has depression, but I can’t change it and that sucks. So thats how I saw this scene. Someone in a place of despair who seemed as if he wanted to cry but litterally coudn‘t. And a family who is deeply worries and doesn’t know how to help him.
Anyways thats my personal perspective and the reason that this scene hit home for me. I get that it could be cringe for people who experience mental illness differently. Thanks for reading my essay 🎉.

As someone who grew up around DV, I thought Austin taking the stand and framing gil was based. I wouldve done the same without batting an eye. Even as a kid.

I think an additional factor that explains Ginny feeling the need to resort to pushing Austin to frame Gil on the stand despite how much it will traumatize him is her losing him forever. With Georgia in prison Gil is planning on moving Austin away and cutting all contact with Ginny. He will be raised by Gil and this is coming just after he put his hands on Ginny (so even if he wouldn’t abuse Austin to me it reads as misogyny that he only abuses women and he could raise Austin to be the same way). It’s still an awful thing for Ginny to do but it makes more sense to me framed as not only a way to keep Georgia out of prison but also a desperate act to prevent her from losing her brother forever (or until he is 18).

I like Wolf since he’s lighthearted. Ginny needs some of that in her life.

I genuinely was watching and I'm confused bc everyone is so ok with Maxine when she's ok but the second she's not ok they're all avoiding her. She's literally their friend and they shut her out it felt so weird but also so reminiscent of highschool dynamics LOL. Like homegirl is just trying to keep everyone happy and the second she can't cater to everyone she's suddenly the issue.

Season 3 triggered the hell out of my mom and I. It was me, my brother, and my mom for a while and one of the plot lines… It was so well done and well written

Georgia wants it in all colors😭👧🏽🧒🏼👶🏾

ALSO, the way Maxine’s storyline was handled really annoyed me, cause yeah i understand she can be annoying but i think she has some kind of ADHD or compulsive tendencies that she struggles with. And you could clearly see her trying to be considerate of others feelings and not be “too much” but absolutely nobody was considering her feelings at all😭 am i the only one who felt for her at the end? Of course everyone was going through their own problems, but max also deserves to talk about how she’s feeling and they pretty much told her to “f*ck off”for lack of better words every time she wanted to talk about how she’s feeling. It’s like she can’t win, she tries to be less “emotional” for the sake of her friendships and they still end up excluding her.
