The book I brought with me to New Orleans led me somewhere I didn’t expect.

I came to New Orleans for literature, to attend Faulkner for All, celebrate William Faulkner’s birthday, meet writers, poets, literary agents and publishers, and spend a few days in a city where history and storytelling seem to live on every street. But this trip became about more than a literary festival.

From the French Quarter and its historic streets to cafés, the Mississippi River, Faulkner, and conversations with people from the literary world, I found myself thinking differently about my own book and about what might come next.

In this vlog, I take you with me through New Orleans as an author: the places I visited, the people I met, the literary conversations I had, and the moments that stayed with me.
