I’ve made 2 Cubetti hats (so far) picking up along slipped stitch selvedges. I intentionally worked from back to front on one project, so that neat little line of chain stitches is on the Right Side of the fabric, and that looks great too, even at the corners.
I’ll use this selvedge and pick up for so many projects going forward: the front edge of a cardigan so I can pick up for the button band, knitting entrelac, and more modular knit HATS!
