Fitting that he’s talking about Narnia now since we’re getting The Magician’s Nephew film adaptation in around a year

The Owl House quote is

"Look, kid. Everyone want's to believe their "chosen" "
"But if we all waited around for a prophecy to make us special we'd die waiting"
"That's why you need to chose yourself"

It's basically Eda (The woman in the image) telling Luz (Owl House's protag) to believe in her self and not in a vague prophecy

You should watch some of the book to movie adaptation reviews done by Dominic noble. He does a good job going over a lot of the specific differences and what was left out. The oldest version wicked he reviewed is actually pretty insane. Also not so fun fact about the Narnia books, Susan suddenly stops believing in Narnia and basically gets left out of the final book which has been considered a controversial decision by many critics.

Owl House is a great show that Disney cut short denying them a proper season 3 and instead 3 hour long episodes were done to wrap up everything

You're supposed to read it from top to bottom

"Look kid. Everyone wants to believe they're "chosen". But if we all waited round for a prophecy to make us special. We'd all be dead. That's why you need to choose yourself"

It's basically poking fun at prophecies and chosen ones as they take agency away from characters. It's more interesting if the characters do good things because they want to, not because they have to
