It's the same old England when they play the top nations. "What IF"

Spain went up another level after the Kane Penalty and the scored 2 goals... What a sensational team

Is one guy trying to say England were the better team???!!??!

@bbmintah8509 9 days ago

People can talk about Trent’s defending but I just don’t see how you play Quansah over him

@Diderot68 9 days ago

Now Spain has beaten France, Argentina and England in the last three matches. These are all semi finalists in the World Cup. Please don’t tell me England is better than Spain

The big thing is we have some moments, but that's not enough. There's no pattern to our play and we lack composure on the ball.

@Robc2007 9 days ago

That defense was never going to win the world cup. 3rd place was a good result.

Soy Español y es para felicitar el partido de Inglaterra ayer, jugaron un gran encuentro es cuestion de ser mas fiables atras.

14:45 "Had we gone 3-1 up through the Kane penalty it would've been really deserved at that time". Brother, the penalty England got given was an absolute dive, what on earth are you saying

England pushed forward for 3rd goal. Didnt park bus. Some bad errors, but we all know defence lacks quality. Not ALL on Tuchel. Played english way and direct. Fans said its ok to lose so long as we go toe to toe. We tried it. No complaints.

Fue un gran partido de dos equipos valientes que jugaron a ganar y jugaron con respeto y haciendo deporte

It was a fun game, a lot of intensity. The penalty should’ve sealed it but Spain should’ve been up by a lot more before England’s first goal if not for Ferran Torres being a terrible finisher. Taking Gordon off was baffling and Pedri coming on sealed it, Spain took full control once he was on.

With ten mins to go, England chasing the game, Calvert Lewin up front desperate for service, surely this was the time for a Trent cameo? Instead we had Anderson and Rodgers skying their crosses and Quansah unable to offer much. Feels like that was the ideal moment for Trent against players he knows and plays against regularly.

Felt like we were slightly outclassed in the second half.

The way in which the two CBs and two holding CMs defend is terrifying. Man to man, without any of the potential reward of pressing high. Their third goal could've happed three or four times the way that Guehi (who I thought had a shocker) was following Olmo/Torres/Oyazarbal into the midfield every time. Really don't understand what Tuchel sees in how he's setting the back 6 up out of possession.

Let’s be honest Kane’s header was clear own goal by Cucurella. Why it’s given to Kane. Secondly, no contact existed with Berlinger’s penalty, just a dive. In summary, the game must’ve been decided In first 25-30 minutes. The chances that Torres missed brought England back into the game. Otherwise the fans would have gone home after 45 minutes 😊

España jugó con Ferrán y Fabián, pubill de titulares que son SUPLENTES. Auto gol de cucurella y Nico perdió la pelota resbalando se. Cuando españa saco a oyarzabal y pedri se acabó Inglaterra.

Going forward we looked really dangerous. Defensively shambolic as an Ipswich fan it was like watching us at times this season 😂, Bellingham, Anderson and Gordon all had really good games and Gibbs-White played well when he came on which was good to see

@stuartc9149 9 days ago

Should have been 4-0 in the first 25 minutes and game over. Thankfully Olazabal and Baena came on, but should never have needed to

The great Luis Aragones would always get furious when reporters said games were weird...he always told them "that's football!" making the point that reporters knew nothing of the game. Same as these kids, constantly repeating it was a weird game.
