This song gives me chills. I am an old lady and I remember when Simon and Garfunkel's sound of silence song. It was epic then. But, Disturbed brings it too a whole new level. Bravo!! Queen P., I just want to say that I hear, the pain in your heart. I am so sorry for your losses.

I read this somewhere and it resonated with me.   Simon and Garfunkel’s version was a warning that we need to start communicating and truly hearing each other.  Disturbed’s version is what happened because we did not heed the warning

It's said that S&G, in 1965, was asking for the world to listen to their plea and Disturbed was demanding, 50 years later, to know why we didn't listen.

Heart goes out to Queen Pegasus on describing the hard time she went through❤

You should show her the live version from Conan. Disturbed makes some very powerful music and this song is by far their most powerful, especially live, I got to see them on their first show back from David's hiatus after he had throat issues, and had it not been an outdoor concert they would have blown the roof off

God bless you both 🩷.   Such bravery on your part Queen P.   What’s the expression, “You’ve got to feel it to heal it”.  Sending lots of love your way.

Covers can be difficult, you have to both honor the original and put your own uniqueness, they did both with this version .

I so appreciate QP’s reaction to this song. It has been like my personal anthem since I was young as a survivor of childhood abuse. As a child you don’t have the words but you try to make others hear you and see you, but everyone looks and they don’t see. Hear but they don’t listen. Or they do and just turn away. This song has held a special place in my heart for many years and never fails to give me goosebumps. No matter who is singing it. But after hearing this version by Disturbed, it became my favorite because it is like a primal scream from someone saying listen to me and see me. So powerful.

I get chills up and down my back every time I hear Disturbed sing this song.  So powerful.

The live performance on Conan is the most watched episode ever for him. Paul Simon gave props for this rendition.

The deep, resonating voice of David Draiman conjures thoughts of the relaxed, calming voice of Mister Rogers. I didn’t expect to hear that in a reaction today.

Not only does David Draimen from Disturbed have a beautiful voice but he is such a sweet, and compassionate person.

Not mention Daivd has an god given and amazing instrument. 😊

SO PROUD OF YOU QUEEN P! you're so strong!

Wow 😮 so powerful, as a mother. I can feel your pain, but BP is right. If you don’t let it out, when you are feeling it. It can eat you up and make you sick. Pentatonix does a version of “The Sound Of Silence” it really good too! Every version I’ve heard of this song is great. Flowers 💐 to Paul Simon for writing the song 🎶 and Art Garfunkel for his beautiful rendition of the song! ♥

Queen, I'm speaking to you're mother's heart. I've also lost 3 babies before having my daughter and son. I understand your loss and how you feel. I kept feeling betrayed by my body like I was doing something wrong. When we finally investigated the issue it was my body that was the cause. I received medical intervention and was able to have 2 beautiful children who are all grown up now and living their lives and I've never forgotten the 3 angels that weren't meant to be.

I loved that the video portrayed the musicians traveling to the shore where the composers lived.  It shows us how music can unite us so that we can really hear each other.

Dude's voice is very powerful.  Feels like he's holding back even still.  Music hits me deep, always has but especially as I get older.  Every song triggers memories, experiences good or bad especially if I associate them with time, people, place.

My wife and I have experienced the same thing with trying to have kids. Our hearts go out to the both of you!

Awwww. I could see the pain come upon Mrs. P with the music. She's still in deep pain. Bring songs to her that bring healing but also joy to fill the void.
