hellooo, went a litle crazy with the effects in this one lol
I’ve been noticing this pattern recently, where I talk myself out of doing just about anything. Everything automatically goes through this filter of “does this make sense for me?”, or “what is the use of this?”, or “is this a waste of time?” aaand the list goes on. Unsurprisingly, very few things actually remain after I’ve mentally filtered them. Turns out being a raging perfectionist who also wants to try everything is a pretty tough combo. More and more I’ve been wondering who or where I would be if I allowed myself to pursue my interests or curiosities freely, rather than instantly questioning whether they are worthwhile. Because ultimately, that’s just going to keep me stuck in the same place & mindset, as I will never venture out to try or learn new things. I really believe that curiosity rarely is random, and actually reveals a lot about what we naturally gravitate towards. A bit like an inner compass if you will :) So I guess if you’re anything like me, here’s a reminder to question your own criticism more than your curiosity!!
