I met Mike Ness when he was walking his dog with his wife in Santa Ana. His wife said hi to my (at the time) 5 year old daughter first and I just smiled trying not to look like a fan boy. Afterwards, I told my daughter that she just met one of the coolest punks to walk the earth.

37:50 - "These cars were built, just like the old homes or the old buildings or the old guitars and amps, they were built when art and industry were one." Yeah.

Social Distortion has got me through the darkness many times.

Mike Ness is the living breathing embodiment of American Rock n'Roll.

I told myself id only watch a little bit, gotta go to bed.... I watched the whole fucken thing.  Mike Ness , true artist.

Here's Mike Ness giving us....the story of his life

Mike has such a dad energy to him. Like he won't full on fix your problems but will teach you to fix it and not get into the same problem as before.
And that's where the music comes into play

"My 1st pack of Ernie ball strings was probably 1982 or something.. It's been a great relationship."

Mike, I know you’re probably not gonna read this but you’re one of the most iconic punk rock musicians. I love you. You’re a good dude keep being you , me and my brother always be bumping your tunes.

And just let you know always helping getting us through hard times

Mike Ness’ albums “cheating at solitaire” & “under the influences” are a must have for any music collection.

I was never an SD fan growing up but now at the age of 55 I am and discovered I have virtually the same thinking and attitude as Mike Ness…..just an original guy. Nothing pretentious about him, what you see is what you get. The same can be said about his music.

Mike's a national treasure. He's not only one of the greatest American musicians of all time, he appreciates the incredible post-war US culture and art.

Mike Ness is the real deal with a ton of heart.  He is everything you can't buy with money.

Mike Ness and Social Distortion have literally saved my life more than once. They got me out of some really dark times.

“You Can Run All Your Life, But Not Go Anywhere.”

His song writing and of course...that Social D Tone!! Incredible! 🤘

Mike Ness and I were on our way to work after school (Troy H.S.) one afternoon in 1977. He was riding on the back of my Kawasaki 500cc when we ate shit (laid it down on the  on the 57 Freeway transition to the 91).
We were  both covered with road rash and nearly lost our lives..... We just went to work like it was nothing. He nor I never complained.... That's just the way it was back then...Thx for all the great tunes Mike!  Dave Rowan

I've never seen Ness in such a comfortable and conversational mood. This is a really interesting insight into his sound and process!

One of the best things I've seen on YouTube in a looooooong time.

One thing I’ve always loved about Mike and his music is never for a second has he ever been anything but authentic and true, it shows in his music and how he writes and performs.
