Metalcore titans Ice Nine Kills recently performed their track "Twisting the Knife" live at the Welcome to Rockville festival in May 2026. Originally featured on the Scream 7 soundtrack with vocals by Mckenna Grace, this special live performance marked the stage debut of rising metalcore vocalist MAPHRA. Taking over the guest vocal duties, MAPHRA brought her heavy vocal style to the horror-themed metalcore track.

My wife and I were at this set. I turned to my wife and said, "That girl looks like Maphra." It was awesome to see her live debut!

Yeah, she's nervous... But I mean, how could you not be. The studio is so personal, you've controlled every perameter and are so comfortable... Life is like 'here's your mic, have at it.'

So nice of Maphra to let Ice Nine Kills perform with her 🖤

Leave it to Spencer being the first to give her the chance to perform on a large platform and a massive opportunity. Guy seems like such a nice, humble, good person.

So cute. You can tell she is nervous in the beginning, and the longer it goes on, the more she lets loose. I hope she starts making her own material at one point.

I smiled so much through this, finally seeing MAPHRA become "real" in her success. I'm happy for this other person. I don't know her, obviously, but I'm still happy for another human being that seems like a genuinely cool person. Rock on 🤘

Maphra was literally dropped into the deep end of the pool! The pressure she was under must have been crazy and SHE KILLED IT! Despite the bad cell recording, you can hear her powerful voice! So proud of our girl! #MaphraSquad 🖤🔥

they were probably thinking, before she makes one of our song hers, we assimilate her :D

Just the beginning for her - how many people have rolled out first time in front of, what, 200,000 people? Amazing!

Closest we've gotten to an official reveal of how to pronounce her name.
At 4:22, and at 5:10, he tells the crowd to "make some noise for Maphra" and he pronounced it like MAFF-ruh. I would assume that he got the pronunciation from her directly.

I am glad it was Spencer to give her the first stage performance, you can clearly see by his movements that he is so use to being infront of a lot of people and what you can and cant do on a stage. She will definitely warm up to it as time goes on.
