if 2008 had a playoff, who are you taking?

This is why I preferred the BCS to the playoff. The season-long drama was so much fun.

The fact that USC lost to Oregon State meant something. Today, they’d still be in, and it wouldn't have mattered.

This is my favorite season ever. So many people talk about 2007, but there were 5-6 teams in 08 that could run with any team ever. Most stacked year ever

Back when cfb was worth watching

I loved it when a week before the title game an Oklahoma DB said “Tim Tebow would be the 5th or 6th best QB in the Big12” then Tebow was replied “I’d LOVE to play against a Big12 defense every weekend” 😂

College Football in the 2000s > college football nowadays.

If there was a year that a playoff was needed, this was it.

Back when one loss could ruin your season, most of the players played for the love of the game, and others got paid under the table

college football was 10x better in the 2000s

2008 12 team playoff would have fed NIL for 100 years

The last season before the start of the Alabama dynasty, the most dominant run of all time.

You needed to talk more about Utah. In that crazy season they were the only undefeated team. They beat Oregon St the week after they upset USC. Utah deserved to play for the National Championship.

Legit the best CFB season ever in my opinion and I started watching CFB religiously that season when I was a freshman in high school. The Tebow era was amazing to watch.

That Oregon st usc game man what a heart break

Got chills when you played “The Promise”

I'm a die-hard lifelong Gator fan and that was an amazing season

Mr Hernandez was fun to play with I bet

As a Sooner fan, 2008 was SUCH a fun season! Even though we got heartbroken by Tebow’s Gators, there was no shame in that loss. Half of our offensive power was diminished in DeMarco Murray being injured for that game. We had two spectacular running backs in Murray and Chris Brown, but not having Murray for the title game just hurt too much and half of the offensive threat was nonexistent. Sam Bradford was able to be so lethal bc of the running back duo behind him every weekend.

Man, WHAT IF OU had DeMarco Murray for the national championship game?

That was a great memory hole about an amazing season of BALLIN'!
Great job and THANK YOU!

The BCS being in charge of the Big 12 tiebreaker was nasty work. It should’ve been Texas vs Florida
