I have another question about the "MODE" switch. I have speakers connected to section B and this switch does not work for me. Is it dependent on something or could it simply be damaged in my case?

You shold flip to class a and wait 20 mins to warmup then you flip back to normal and maybe you want flip back to class a instantly.

I never could tell when mine was in Class A or not. I also used the record out all the time.

I "may" have an answer. Class A/B is Class A at low output and then goes over to Class B at higher output. The reason you "may" not have heard a difference was the amp was in Class A both when you played it in Class A/B and when you played it in Class A. ... I think

How can I connect it to a CD player with Line in or digital output? AUX?

I used to have CA 2000. Didn't like it. I much more prefer Kenwood KA 9100 and Rotel RA 1412. So CA2000 got sold
