12:21 they can't just add roll back to an already made game. also it costs a lot of computational power so the switches would probably lag. I don't think that they should be expected to put rollback in this but they should put it in the next one

Not sure where I first heard it but I really like the idea that Ganondorf should get a complete rework and have his clone moveset live on in Black Shadow

“kicking woody could severely injure him, he IS 2:06.”

Whilst we're at it Ridley being as light as he is sucks too

I was just rewatching your smash videos this morning and now a new one pops up lol what are the odds

There's just so much left unpolished in the game. My #11 would be that they just basically abandoned ship after Sora. There was no sticking around to do more patches.
Some other things like
- Echo Fighters not having enough variation.
- Enemies falling out of counters. (Like the multi-hit point you made.
- JigglyPuff Sing not Sleeping opponents who aren't blocking right away occasionally.
- Sonic having a 1/3 of his kit be ball.
- Weird nitpick, but a way of seeing a Mii's kit, like a surname, without having to name yourself "1111" or whatever.
- "Piranha Plant before X." (I like them now that they're here, but still. People I know who don't play still ask where Waluigi is at.)
- Little Mac's Recovery. (Like just give the dude a little more height on Up B.)
- ZSS can't Fast Fall Air Dodge.
- The sh*t show that is RamRam hitting a kilometer below ledge. (Skill issue ig)
- Ivysaur's Whip hitting above and through the ledge. (Not the worst thing to be a feature, or the only move to, but it comes to mind.)
- Countless other miss-aligned hit/hurt boxes.
- And of course, infinite Steve garbage. Even though mid air blocks are awful, regular blocks still walling off sections of a platform fighter is completely game altering when he gets stronger for being left alone. The whole point you made in a previous video of 'characters who have a flow chart of things to do and when', instead of fighting and reacting is Steve's blocks in a nutshell.

With 86 characters in this game, I understand not every one of the computations can feasibly be accounted for, but these are some of the most polarizing.
W video! ❤

I hate how Steve has Walking Tilts, no other character has that as well as a down air projectile that he can literally crap down on top of you and jump out of it. He also kinda has the Brawl Gliding in his up special. He’s an designed mess and I don’t care if people hate me when I say this, but I never wanted Steve in Smash. Minecraft Mii Costumes and a stage would’ve been fine enough and Mii Costumes don’t even get stages. People went ballistic for the Sans Mii Costume to be fair and speaking of Mii Costumes those are probably why we don’t get character costumes.

Question: How would you fix multi hit moves? They're such a case by case that there's no universal answer that wouldn't break the game completely.

6:41 good this lame ahhh character literally does the same thing in neutral over and over till they get a hit in. cant remember the last time i truly had fun fighting a dedede

Mewtwo main here, as if the nerf to nair, dtilt and no multi air dodges (justified change) coming over from sm4sh wasnt enough, its baffling that they chose to give him an extra hurtbox on his tail without making some parts of his tail attacks intangible. Mewtwo should not have gotten this extra hurtbox from the start

Cool, Metal Arms music!

I love that game. I modded him into Smash Bros Melee a few years ago actually. Unique moveset and mechanics and all.

There are some things that are justifiable, maybe in whichever meeting where Sephiroth's design was discussed having him be a lightweight made sense back then
But how does minecart make sense bro, this single move is:

Burst option
Projectile
Command grab
Kill move
Combo move at low% including into itself sometimes
Kill confirm move at high%
Recovery tool and landing mixup
And it can tank hits
Did they literally not lay all this out when designing it. Sakurai has played fighting games I can assure you he did not see a projectile command grab in any of them

For Sephiroth, weight is often used as a balancing factor in Smash and it often deviates from canon if the moveset design necessitates it. It makes sense, Sephiroth has extreme power and extreme range. He needs some drawback as to not be unbalanced. Was making him as light as Kirby overkill? A little, yeah, he could use more meat on them bones... but I think he should only be slightly heavier. I would not make him pass 85 units.

I 100% agree on Steve. Beautifully worded segment. Being able to create terrain is already super powerful, so Steve should only be able to place blocks if the blocks are adjacent to the stage or other platforms. This probably wouldn't stop him from being busted, but it would definitely be a huge boon to the opponent and give them more of a fighting chance. It would also negatively impact his ledge stalling.

Minecart is definitely busted. I agree that it's doing too much. I think it should still grab opponents when moving because it's unique, funny, and accurate to the source material, but the super armor needs to go and so does its high HP. You should be able to breathe on this thing to dispose of it, like Gordo. That would make it a lot more fun/interesting to play against.

Great video as always!

Great video, very interesting topics, and I definitely agree with Steve's midair placement. I think it would have been really funny if he took like 1-2 percent after a big fall when he lands lol. It already plays the fall damage sound effect in-game so it does make sense to play the sound but not have anything happen.

I think paid cosmetic items would be a great fit for this game, and I don't think many people would have an issue with it since it doesn't give an inherent advantage (unless the skin looks like another character or something)

I think Mewtwo tail only should have a hurt box during attacks

yeah I think it's kind of dumb. they shouldn't have multi hits unless they are supposed to be worked around usually with Ariel's

Nerf Steve but the arbitrary block limit is weird cuz Steve was designed w/low jump weakness and that change is doing sum for the sake of logic/canon, it's a creative liberty choice for game balance and those things are fine if done well but problem is block itself is too durably strong and abundant for what it allows, you can always fine tune so more things ignore it or make them durably weaker and reduce longevity

9:36 I appreciate the turnaround call out but frankly I think Falcon since Melee is just a joke. SM4SH was okay but this new version is just cringe. nair1 is dumb

The Sephiroth Challenge nowadays seems like a sick joke. Why make him a Glass cannon and then give him the frame data of the 7 heaviest characters in the entire game??
