When Vivian Vance died, it effected Lucy very deeply. She was doing a talk show several years later and the host asked her about Vivian, she broke down and started crying about Vivians death. They definitely had a bond. Very close friends and loved each other very much. The mere mention of Vivian would make Lucy break down and I dont think she ever got over it. By the way, I love Scott Michaels!!

“No, Lucy! You can’t be in the show!”
So she got a show of her own.

Desi Arnaz and Fred MacMurray were both pallbearers at William Frawleys funeral. MacMurray starred with Frawley on My 3 Sons. Frawley played "Bub" O'Casey.

Lucy's daughter spoke about the last time Lucy spoke to Desi right before he died. She kept repeating to him on the phone I love you. 💔

There's a story of Vivian Vance driving to a taping of the show one morning and had a panic attack on PCH, having to pull over and open the door to lean her head out and throw up at the thought of having to work with Bill Frawley. This is how much she resented working with him every day. And we had no clue. Thats how good her acting was.

My uncles partner was an airline steward for united airlines, he worked in first class and Lucy was on the flight.
He said she was rude, he asked her if she wanted a beverage she would turn to her assistant answering the question to her assistant, she
Would not answer my uncle directly. His hub was out of San Francisco he told me he had many famous people and she was the most stuck up star he ever served

Frawley required a male nurse because he had rectal cancer. Having a woman tend to his digestive orifice was probably inappropriate for Frawley's time. Frawley's fatal heart attack was a blessing as dying of rectal cancer would have been worse.

I had the pleasure of meeting Desi Arnaz in 1975 in San Francisco. I just purchased his autobiography, “. A Book
“. Desi was a perfect gentleman and we were able to have a nice 10 minute chat. It was awesome. Rest In Peace Desi. !!!

I Love Lucy is one of the greatest shows in history and a favorite of mine. Thank you for the podcast!! William Frawley had it in his contract to receive residuals in perpetuity as long as the Show is played. Frawley's heirs received the checks to this day.

I LOVE Desi Arnaz! His accent made the show great, in my opinion. Love all of them! ❤️🤗

If someone pulls my remains from my hand-picked grave as Lucy's kids did her, they better expect a poltergeist level heap of misfortune.

I love hearing about Old Hollywood. I Love Lucy is one of my favorites. The ghost stories were interesting.

Nice to hear about Mary Wickes! She was my Sunday School teacher years ago. Even when our classroom in the parish hall was turned into a set from the movie "10".

For what it's worth, Vivian Vance was discovered in my hometown of Albuquerque, NM at the Albuquerque Little Theater (ALT for short), which is still in existence. Or at least it was before Covid.

I'm still bumming that I'll probably never get to take Scott's helter skelter tour 😪. 2 weeks before covid hit i had tickets to LA and everything got canceled 💔💔

The Andy Griffith shows were also done at Desilu.

I read that Lucy liked Threes Company mainly because it was just comedy. She said she did not believe that comedy should be social commentary. It should just be comedy.
