My favorite part about this whole scene is that it feels like in this moment, it’s not Vader listening, it’s Anakin.

I like that in this version Vader doesn't talk back but he just listens to Qui Gonn and quietly ponders his words.

I’m so glad we have the technology to bring these stories to life. They are so, so good.

Vader without his helmet is when we see his true good self, see the conflict in his face.

This is exactly what Disney needed to give us, my brothers! Prosperity to everyone present in the comments and all the best always!

Qui-Gon still saw the man within the war machine body, and held faith that Luke would save Vade from Sidious & himself.

Qui-Gon we love you and mourn that you were stolen from us in the prequels.

This is Star Wars.

Notice that Anakin/Vader is totally calm around his old master. No rage or disgust,Qui Gon would have trained him well. Obiwan meant well but he wasnt quite reeady to have a padiwon.

Qui-Gon was the father Anakin never had. I truly believe that the murder of Qui-Gon was the worst of Sidious' manipulations. It literally kickstarted everything: Dooku's depart, Obi Wan following the code too strictly to not repeat the fate of his master, Palpatine becoming Anakin's mentor etc.

this ai scene has made me more emotional than anything Disney has put out since the sale

Their's so much pain and regret in the Sebastian Shaw interpretation of Anakin Skywalker.

Second. This is the conversation we should have years ago. Great job.

Even in the original ROTJ movie you can SEE the EXACT piont when ANAKIN starts to return....after luke tells him that "truly my father is dead" Vader leans on the wooden fence and despite him wearing the mask you can tell by his body language he is hinking "What have i done".😊

That was simply 1977. I think this is the biggest compliment I can offer ☺️. May the force be with you.

The fact Vader did not ridicule Qui-Gon and the Jedi and was not talking in anger and despair, but vulnerable and sad grief, shows the tremendous respect he still has for his first Master.
