Within Physicalism | Part 2
What Kind of Culture Does Our Metaphysics Produce?

If Part 1 explored how a dominant metaphysical framework becomes embedded within our institutions, Part 2 asks a different question:

What kind of culture emerges once that framework becomes the air we breathe?

This essay explores how particular physicalist traditions may shape the way we understand ourselves, nature, meaning, and society—not by arguing that Physicalism is false, but by asking whether any culturally dominant metaphysics leaves an imprint upon the civilisation that lives within it.

The aim is not to settle the debate between Physicalism, Idealism, Dual-Aspect Monism, or any other metaphysical position.

Instead, it asks a broader philosophical question:

When a metaphysical framework becomes culturally dominant, what kinds of assumptions, institutions, and ways of living tend to emerge alongside it?

If Part 1 examined how metaphysics becomes culture, Part 2 explores what life within that culture might look like.
