I love that Pondsmith is still heavily involved, God I hope Orion is good and explores some of this

The eldritch aspects of AI was something I never really thought about before cyberpunk 2077 but now I just can't get enough of it. That scene where you actually see the Blackwall and can see the AI trying to break through... Horrifying in the best way

Warhammer 40k had it perfect when they referred to AI as "Abominable Intelligence"

Padre's mission On A Tight Lease also lends credence to Fifth Corporate War aspect of this theory. It ends with you finding out thaf Arasaka is hiring people to dress up as Militech and attack Arasaka sites. I'm not sure if this started before or after Saburo's death but Arasaka is definitely planning for war.

Now I'm thinking that the rogue ai's have manipulated everything in order to start the 5th corporate war, which in turn will force the corporations to rapidly advance their tech to get the upper hand on each other, opening the floodgates for ai to enter real space.

Wild to think Gary was safe with the knowledge he had and the things he was saying, but once V started listening to him , he was doomed

I wanted to add that Gary is technically right about Saburo being a vampire, alot of the life extending tech that Saburo utilizes requires donors of organic matter (the ethical reason why some of the tech in Cyberpunk are not allowed irl) and test subjects, so essentially Saburo is consuming the life essence of those under him to stay alive.

When I first played cyberpunk, not knowing a fraction of the lore, I thought Mr. Blue Eyes was a old net AI of Richard Night, still protecting his city as he sees fit

It took me to JUST NOW to realize that Mike Pondsmith is the radio host for 107.3 Morro Rock Radio lmao

A Swede talking about a Deluge... Panics in Polish

If you do the ending where the NUSA gets V surgery, you can go to the computer in the hospital room and see Peralez’s website after election and depending on what you do in his quest line he makes completely different decisions as mayor.

When it rains, it pours, I think this theory is the best in terms of predicting Cyberpunk 2077's future lore. I hope we get more of this in the next game.

Something that intrigued me is the fact that  both Songbird, and Lucy (from the anime) go to the moon. Both had been touched by an AI. With edgerunners showing something entering Lucy when she dived the net for Arasaka.
"The moon mother as she descends to Earth?"  The Massive AI that will lead the invasion will come from the moon.

I think you're missing a key aspect of this. Night Corp, and by association the Blue Eyes, did not start influencing Peralez's life in just the last few months, they've been shaping it from the very beginning, ever since he got a Night Corp scholarship as a teen. They had direct influence on his education, connections, who he would end up meeting and marrying, his whole early career, list goes on. They're not recruiting him, they made him from scratch. Furthermore, all of his mental adjustment notes pertain to stability, not reshaping. They're primarily keeping him on track.

Another important thing is, despite all this, the Blue Eyes really don't seem to be that bad. They went to great lengths to make Peralez, and then once they'd made him, everything he's been doing has been more or less an absolute good for the city. He is the lone virtuous politician in a sea of corruption. They picked the impossibly hard path, when if all they wanted was an open hatch to sneak in, it would have been piss easy to blackmail or mind control a weaker more manipulable mayor to defund NetWatch in the interest of savings. Sure they could be on some 5D chess shit, but you could say that about literally anything, and given how far out of their way they went to make Peralez, it's reasonable to assume that his goals are at least in part their goals. This particular group of Rogue AIs may have more empathy for humanity than it has for itself.

Both Prophet Gary and Neuromancer mention Alpha Centauri. Gary states the 'techno-necromancers from Alpha Centauri' while the Wintermute AI in Neuromancer receives a signal from Alpha Centauri. Been years since I've read it but that would be AMAZING if this was a big Neuromancer reference in the next Cyberpunk game.

For those who don't know; in the cyberpunk universe, Chicago was subjected to a bio plague the kille a large portion of the population of Chicago, and any survivors had to move away.
About ten years later, biotechnoca created a facility there, because no one was around to screw with them. Other than nomads who mostly kept to their business. Though the 2nd or third corporate war haunted the facility because of another bio plague (lol).

Prophet Gary refers to Technomancers from Alpha Centari. An interesting tie-in to Neuromancer: At the end,  a new artificial intelligence is detected in Alpha Centari. Also, it's implied in Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive, that the strange, god-like entities swimming around in the Net, are alien A.I.s.

Honestly, the idea of Mr. Blue Eyes recruiting ‘champions’ of sort for a potential AI invasion kinda gives me hope (even if it’s unlikely) that V could return in the sequel.

If Blue Eyes has the tech to save Songbird who’s just as badly broken as V, then why not go the extra mile to save someone so influential and noteworthy for the war against the AIs? Not to mention how even the FIA were able to ‘cure’ V (albeit at the cost of their use of cyberware).

Regardless, Orion’s definition gonna have an incredibly story focused on AI, especially now that AI is becoming even more prominent in real life. I just hope the game will come out soon!

This is all very interesting and plausible. I do hope though that CDPR sticks with the old cyberpunk principle that the stories are not about saving the world, but about saving yourself. Cyberpunk 2077 was absolutely perfect in this regard.

I'm scared of Youtube going rogue one day.

Now, what helps this put into context is when you really consider the fact that Cyberpunk's protagonist is Night City. It may be sick, corrupted, twisted, but one thing I learned is that it always survives. A great disaster is coming, but I actually see opportunity within that. What kind of city will emerge from the ashes once it weathers the storm -- that's the real question IMO
