We’ve booked a BRAND NEW resort in Punta Cana… and it’s only been open for around THREE MONTHS! 😳🌴

In less than two weeks we’re heading to Lopesan Serenity Bay Resort, Spa & Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic — a brand-new adults-only, all-inclusive resort.

The only slight problem? 😂 Because it’s so new, I’ve been trying to research EVERYTHING before we go… and there are still so many things I can’t find proper answers to!

What’s actually in the minibar? 🍹
What’s on the 24-hour room service menu?
Are the cabanas included or do they cost extra?
What are the restaurants really like?
Where can you get food late at night?
Is there actually a swim-up bar?
And will the much-talked-about Vela Beach Club actually be open when we arrive?! 👀

So I thought — why don’t I find out myself?
We’re spending 7 nights at Lopesan Serenity Bay, arriving in early October 2026, and I’m taking you along for the whole thing — from the slightly chaotic preparation 😂 to travel day, our first impressions, room tour, restaurants, pools, beach, bars, food, drinks and all those little details you actually want to know before booking a holiday.

And because this is Natural Simple 50 Something, this definitely won’t be a clipboard-and-scorecard hotel review. 🤣 There will be clothes, cocktails, food, sunshine, probably far too much luggage and an actual holiday somewhere amongst the filming.


Speaking of which…

21 looks. 20kg luggage allowance. 7 nights in Punta Cana.

Apparently some people have something called a capsule wardrobe.
We won’t be doing that. 🤣👗✈️
