Great to see you when you dropped in to Six Poor Folk, Helen and James, and thanks to Andy for pointing you our way! I do hope you'll be returning, and getting more coverage of Knaresborough, and hopefully some riveting footage as you practice  being a Landlord. Watch this space, and come back soon! Love, Gilly

What a beautiful place it is.
Your channel means a lot to me, as I am 50, and housebound due to a spinal condition that went misdiagnosed years ago.
I miss going out, and going on holidays.
Watching your videos means that I feel like I'm taking a trip too.

As a kid Mother Shipton's cave was free admission but the only thing there was the petrifying well which fascinated us.  When Paul Daniels got  involved there was an entrance fee.  I've never been since 😂  it's a rip off in my.opinion

Thank s Jim andhelibobs for getting me thru my hospital stay after having a stroke

Live in Leeds , love it there especially around Xmas and the Xmas tree exhibition

Hi you lovely people. I'm a Harrogate lad, pronounced 'Arrogut, living on the south coast so this blog was a trip down memory lane for me. I was actually the editor of The Knaresborough Post at the time of Old Mother Shipton's 500 year celebrations back in '87. Yes Paul Daniels bought the cave and land around it and promptly Disneyfield it and stuck an entry fee on what was when I was a kid a free local attraction. Ever since he's been the most hated stage magician in North Yorkshire. And you're right Knaresborough is lovely. Bless.

Knaresborough is a fantastic little town great market on Wednesdays among plenty interesting places love it

Also the quirky cafe  , the gardens back up to town and Abby road sculptures

You’re bringing back memories the church is where I was married 50 years ago

My Grandad was born in Knaresborough, around 1890..
He was truanting from school and swam across the river Nid ( on his back)  with his clothes on his stomach. The headmaster was at the other side,, waving his cane! Lol
Great vlog!! Xx

Fantastic day you had . I felt like I was with you both . Thank you

Paul Daniels did buy Mother Shipton  love your videos Knaresborough is a lovely place

I visited last year as was astounded at its beauty

What did Paul Daniels say when he bought Mother Shiptons Cave ?
"You'll like this not a lot but you'll like it "😅😅

My dentist is in Knaresborough!  I live near Thirsk…….we love North Yorkshire. ❤️

My Grandfather’s family were all from Knaresborough and lived in the dispensary inside the castle yard opposite the now police station.
My Grandfather and his brothers worked on the boats when they were kids, circa 1920.
My Great uncle Harry had a beautiful singing voice and sang at the Knaresborough Parish church.
It is certainly beautiful alongside the river, but the main street could be better.

Knaresborough castle has such a beautiful vista. I worked around the area in different seasons, and the view over the ornate bridge is just a prize of Yorkshire. Many a hot day from childhood playing pitch n putt and bowls. Even the Romans had their eye on the land.

Been a few years since I last had a day out in Knaresborough but been many times and such a beautiful place - thanks for posting this great video, you 2 are the best ❤️👍

Thanks James & Helen you inspired us to visit Knaresborough on our way to Skipton❤

Paul Daniel's the tv magician used to own mother shiptons.
