In this episode, we speak with Antonio Piñero, philologist, historian, and one of the leading specialists in early Christianity. A rigorous and fascinating conversation about the historical origins of Christianity, the figure of Jesus of Nazareth, and how the texts that have shaped Western history were constructed.

We analyze key questions such as: Did Jesus really exist? Was he considered the Son of God? How and when were the Gospels written? We also discuss historical figures like Herod the Great, controversial episodes like the Massacre of the Innocents, the Council of Nicaea, and how the Christian tradition we know today was formed.

An essential episode for understanding the difference between history, theology, and tradition, and for approaching the historical Jesus from an academic perspective.
