Wednesday and Enid's friendship is my favorite part of this show. After finishing this show, jenna ortega pretty much cemented as one of my favorite young actors.

Another interesting fact, building on what you guys said about Jenna Ortega being this incredible “lightning in a bottle” casting choice and character custodian: in interviews Jenna has mentioned that Tim Burton was very empowering in allowing her to make some changes to the dialogue, like in removing lines that didn’t fit with the character by making her sound like a regular teenage girl. Tim Burton apparently trusted her a lot with the character, including letting Jenna choreograph the entire dance.

The man who played Thing is a magician by trade apparently, so it makes sense that he's good with his hands, since magicians have to do so many sleight of hand tricks.

So interesting thing which may explain why there’s a bit of lacking chemistry with the boys: Jenna Ortega has mentioned in quite a few interviews that she disagrees with the whole “love triangle boy crush” thing they were hinting at - she’s very protective of the character and thinks it’s out of character for Wednesday - so she deliberately played it where Wednesday was mostly interacting with the boys to pursue the mystery or out of some sort of self-interest. Even her male costars have mentioned that their interest in Wednesday seem one-sided.

I’m happy they made Thing her side kick. He’s my second favorite member of the family

Jenna turned Wednesday from the creepy girl into the creepy girl I would have been obsessed with in highschool.😂

Sooo happy seeing y’all reacting to this. It’s such a damn good series.

I like that they gave Thing, Frankenstein style stitches.

THANK YOU to those that bugged these guys into watching this!!! Seriously, it's amazing! Every actor in this is perfect for their role.

I’m so happy to see Tim Burton get such a massively popular win with this series after over a decade of making things that didn’t really feel like him

Others have pointed it out in the comments, but yes, most of Things scenes are performed by an actual human hand, confirmed in a behind the scenes video.

I also find it interesting that Greg pointed out that you can tell a lot of what Wednesday is thinking and saying through her eyes, as that's also what Emma Myers, the actress that plays Enid, has said in interviews as well.

So glad you guys are reacting to this show, It’s so enjoyable

"the art guy.." " tortured artist.. " lol this killed me..

The actor for thing did amazing, the team could’ve used cgi but they were so intelligent to hire a real, in person actor. In the scenes where Wednesday and Thing are alone she isn’t just talking to a dot, she is talking to a real man. It was pure genius.

So glad you're watching this series! I really enjoyed it, get ready for the it's her it's hIM NO IT'S THAT GUY NO WAIT IT'S HER NO HIM WAIT WHAT?!! They really try to throw you off as much they can haha! Jenna's performance is something special, she did such a fantastic job with this character and her portrayal. Can't wait to see what you both think of when you get to see where this all goes!

@Misskanojojo 3 years ago

Excellent reaction, loveee this series. Btw they hired a magician to do " Thing" which is cool since i think original Thing was also from a magician. Netflix have a video about it if i recall correctly.

Wednesday and Enid have such a sympathetic friendship, the actresses are charming in their own way

@NoName1462 3 years ago

No stunt doubles for Jenna. For this show, she learned how to fence, how to speak German, how to play the cello and did her own dance choreography. She also made several changes to the dialogue and scenes.
