In this video, we rate every spot on food quality, presentation, portion, and value, and we don't hold back. We start with an incredible smoked-beef sandwich stacked with fresh-cut cheese straight from the butcher (€15, and worth every cent — just don't show up between noon and 1pm!). Then it's the most Parisian stop of the day: a vintage former butcher shop where locals line up for a classic jambon-fromage at just €6.40, amazing value for under seven bucks.
We also try a trendy €13.40 burger meal for two (spoiler: cheap isn't always cheerful, we tell you honestly how it rates), a €9.40 kebab loaded with homemade sauces that Antoine says he'd eat ten times over before the burger, and finally, real Texas-style barbecue in Paris: pulled pork smoked for 10 hours, on soft bread, near Sacré-Cœur. My wife and I (we are from Canada) have been watching your channel for more than two years and we really enjoy it.
This is the first time I comment on one of your videos, but I really feel that your review of Mangez et cassez-vous was unfair.
First of all, the quality of the food is better than what you described. The meat is fresh and the burgers are tasty. The fries are also excellent.
I don’t know what you expect when you pay 13 euros for two but I would say the value is excellent. It looks like a lot of people agree which is why there’s always a lineup.
I am writing this for other viewers who may feel discouraged to eat there. I’m a burger guy and I highly recommend it.
