There is no other athlete I know of who has stayed at the top of the game for as long as Slater has. Almost 30 years and he is still there... Its inspiring to me- Stay healthy, eat right and don't stop

This couldn't have been an easier interview. Kelly like Shaun Tomson before has been a great representative of competitive surfing.

why retire? if you love what you are doing and still getting paid for it. screw other people's opinions, do what you like, live for yourself. good interview!

Kelly made that so enjoyable to watch. Really comes off as a fun guy to be around. Kelly was right, he doesn't want to come off like Ali "I AM THE GREATEST!" But that is who he is!
He's the greatest of all time. It wasn't that long ago that people in the surfing world were saying "Kelly needs to retire to give other people a chance" At 45 he's still got days when he's the best.

Being 47 it stokes me out to see how far surfing 🏄 has come in the USA 🇺🇸 the last 4 decades. We do need to step it up a bit more and model our friends down under in Australia 🇦🇺. Surfing gets HUGE love in Oz! Kelly is the man and a great interviewee
