I thought this video was fresh and all of the comments implying dramageddon was "3 years ago" confused me so bad i thought i had been sucked into a time capsule

Insane and infuriating how back then Manny's career was seriously halted because he was a "social climber" and now literal, proven predators are somehow able to maintain their platforms?

I’m telling y’all in the future being an internet historian will become an actual job. And the era of beauty gurus will be remembered as a milestone in that history.

@skit5286 5 years ago

call me crazy, but the way all the “dramageddons” tie into one another and the domino effect of young egos running high in a cutthroat hollywood industry to create literally cataclysmic drama is deeply fascinating to me

@connormlee 5 years ago

Jeffree is the common denominator in all the dramageddons and he still hasn’t lost as much in comparison to all the other ppl involved. It’s so weird

@loretohidalgo3533 5 years ago

crazy how back then Shane could restore anyone's reputation and now he has lost his own

@jazzy4982 5 years ago

It’s still crazy to me how everyone dragged Laura for her racist past (as they should) but completely ignored the fact that the person calling her out had one as well 😳

@graciegebel8274 5 years ago

gabriel zamora’s tweet was like the archduke being assassinated

@austincote9364 5 years ago

Full disclosure, I completely forgot Gabriel Zamora existed.

@trybetrybe5725 5 years ago

This series should be called “Candles and Scandals”

@mollyfowler9692 5 years ago

The fact that Nikita still continues to get away with shit drives me crazy.

@macksilly 5 years ago

A sub-tweet is “drama”. Drama is supposed to be stupid and relatively harmless.. I believe dramageddon was the catalyst of people starting to be purposefully dangerously problematic.

@RadEdits 5 years ago

It’s insane to me how often people forgive Jeffree… especially after every goddamn thing he’s done. And what has he ever done to make himself so redeemable? The answer is nothing.

What I hate about the first Dramageddon is that even though these YouTubers were called out for their racist posts (as they should), racism was used just to prove who is worse, so as to cancel them. It seemed that they didn't really care about the marginalized groups of people they hurt either when posting the post or even when those posts resurfaced. I don't know how to explain it but racism was used almost like a funny "gotcha"

@cosycatcris 5 years ago

To be honest, Laura Lee’s crying and squeaking was what made me know about this dramageddon thing

@beerishere97 5 years ago

I lowkey heard "today's scandal of the day" instead of "today's candle of the day" 😅

@Liz-be1wq 5 years ago

How you talk about Laura Lee getting punished is how I wish James Charles had gotten punished.

@taylorgayhart9497 5 years ago (edited)

Why is social climber worse than racist? Like I get why Gabriel was upset with Manny personally, but I never understood the hate for Manny for being a social climber but it was okay for J* to be racist repeatedly?

@is_ley 5 years ago

I know this was only 1-2 years ago but I swear it feels like it's already been like 5.

@jacobfargo6426 5 years ago

the funniest part to me is how Manny got called out for being a "social climber" (something that all youtubers do) while Jeffree was literally a RACIST and people didn't care
