This dude made Seth drive AND pay money to give him a selfie.

I’m not sure how a long time fan wouldn’t know this wasn’t worth $2500. It really gives scammy vibes.

I love the environmental storytelling of 99 near mint cards and 1 well-loved Doomblade.
A knight in clean armor has never seen battle.

Damn seth being so positive. I respect the hell out of that

This video ruined my day. I can't believe someone would do this to Seth while glad handing and acting like a friend. Hope that picture surfaces somewhere...

Went from wholesome fan to scammer once I saw that total amount

Huge props to Seth for his professionalism during this dumpster fire. It sucks this guy very clearly scammed you and tried to hide it with some easter egg gesture notes. Doesnt compensate for this grossly over valued pile.

Poor Seth paid more in gas to pick it up than the collection is worth

The mana base in those decks is criminal

That guy definitely just put a few good cards on the last page of the binder and kept his actual binder at home and his good decks with real value cards

Im putting sadness on the stack in response to seth getting scammed

That note is going on the dartboard lol

the lesson is clear, Bearby needs to evaluate sellers before you confirm the sale

Richard in shambles

Evidence this was a scam:
>supposedly old decks, including first ever deck, full of recent bulk cards. Suggests they pulled the valuable cards and filled it with bulk. No way you have 20 decks and “update” ALL 20 of them with specifically the ~5 most recent sets.
>played for 17 years, had all the commons and uncommon from those eras, no valuable cards from them.
>opened a LOT of Edge of Eternities, as seen by their bulk, only one shock land. Deck manabases were full of basics and gain lands from Foundations. Dude pulled all the shocks and good lands, swapping them with common duals.
>Same as above for Final Fantasy. Had TONS of FF bulk and Art cards, literally only had Cloud and one reprint in the binder. No way they didn’t have something like Sephiroth, Buster Sword, Tifa, some of the Bonus Sheet cards, etc with all the bulk they had accumulated.
>the few valuable cards were super niche: WST, Mox Amber, Necro, Valgavoth, Armageddon. The only generic staple he sold in the collection was Cyc Rift, probably because he had other copies of it already (note it was the most recent reprint of it which is the least valuable). These “pulls” or “hits” were left because they don’t fit in his remaining decks.
>double copies in one deck: he swapped the same card in the deck twice and didn’t realize it, or one was already in the deck and he added another. Big tell of a sloppy scam imo. You find out pretty fast if you accidentally double-copy a card in a deck you really play.
>bizarre themes like auras in Angels, vehicles in Humans-Non-humans, etc. These weren’t themes. These were shells of decks with random bulk stuffed into it. At first I thought the dude was just terrible at deck building but it being random slop makes more sense.

Dude definitely picked over his collection, showed you the value of it with the original cards in it, then swapped them out for recent bulk.

Sorry he did you so dirty like this, Seth. Honestly the dude should give you your money back, at least in part. This feels so two-faced, to write notes about how positive you are while he picks your pocket for every penny he can get.

he took a picture with seth as a memento cause he knew it was his last time being on seth's good side lol wtf dude. way to start off a new marriage, scamming someone to fund it

Something tells me Mitchell will not be re-entering the chat

Yeah,  the decks weren't upgraded, they were picked over. There's no way someone has been playing for 17 years and the most valuable card in their collection is wong shing tong.  You didn't buy a collection you bought their jank pile.

When you're a few minutes from the end of the video and its still at -$1312 😬

Wow, that guy actually scammed you. A reasonable price would be about 1k
