Hard to overstate what a big celebrity IU is.  Imagine Taylor Swift but with a big handful of Academy Award nominations and several Best Actor trophies on top of all her vocal and songwriting awards.

She was already "Nation's Little Sister" before BTS even started training.  She has collaborated twice with Suga - once on her song "Eight" and again on his latest album's "People Pt. 2".

Her concerts are legendary, sometimes lasting 5 hours, and it's just her up there.  For 5 hours.  And to top it off, she is also half of one of the hottest couples in SK along with mega-talented veteran actor Lee Jong-suk.

(real name pronounced 'ee-jee-eun'.  Eun rhymes with French word for 1)

IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... AH I CAN'T STOP CRYING 😢😢😢❤

IU and V need to have drama in the future.. both good singers too.

"A positive spin on a very dark video." Thank you, Johnny. What a heartbreaking, beautiful, short film. IU had a cold when she recorded this song, which, I think, added to the ethereal quality of her voice.

It's a lot to take in, but watch it again. V is blind in one eye, she is deaf. The video camera takes all their problems away. The people in the banquet scene represent the way society rejects imperfections. The symbolism goes deep. I cry every time.

IU is not a new singer, she debut in 2008. She actually recorded this song when she was really ill.

She writes and produces a lot of her own songs. You'll find out that her stage name (IU) means you and I are becoming one with music.

In the end, IU covers V's one good eye so he cannot see the end.  Love this... so beautiful.

IU - most successful solo artist in South Korea.
V - idol of idols. Member from the most successful Kpop band of all time.

IU is one of the most successful kpop idol/actor. love her voice! her & V’s acting is superb.. i cried so much after watching it.. btw she got 2 songs with SUGA! 1st a collab from IU’s album, a song titled “eight” feat and prod SUGA. & 2nd one from SUGA/AGUST D’s D-DAY album “People pt. 2”

IU was very sick during the recording of the song for the video and there is a behind the scenes of her in the studio recording the song and you can see how ill she was at the time. It's pretty amazing watching her work through that.

A flying box is synonymous with society. The song is about how society eats and processes unusual people and love.

V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because  we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭❤

To those unfamiliar with IU as an actress, I recommend "Hotel del Luna" and "My Mister".

Please watch the behind the scenes for this MV. IU is HUGE in South Korea!

ARMY PLEASE READ. This is a recap of our conversation right after we stopped recording the reaction:

Johnny - "The actor in that looked a lot like V."
Richard - "Yes!!! I was going to ask if you thought the same thing."
Johnny - "I think that might have been him."
Richard - "Ummm... you might be right, let me check. If it was, I think he can start a whole other career as an actor... OH MY GOD... yup, that was V!!"
Johnny - "Wow!.How did we miss that??"
Richard - "Yeah... I hope ARMY will forgive us. I feel like they already know we're kinda slow when it comes to things like this."
Johnny - "True hahaha"
Richard - "I think I was so taken in by the story and acting, I didn't stop long enough to process who he was!
Johnny - "Unbelievable"

The cube hunted down anyone who was not 'perfect'.... then it vaporised them... if you watch closely you'll see steam coming off them both once the cube turned red.... You can only imagine how loud Army was when we saw this initially hahahaha... 'Not our Tae !!!! '.... hahaha... IU is beautiful... her concerts are just epic... she started her solo career around 15 and has worked really hard.... she is a seriously nice person to boot......

IU's great voice.  A beautiful song with deep meaning and a double bottom. Gorgeous clip. And BTS' V's participation made it even more meaningful. Great game by IU and V. Thanks for your response.

I really want to see IU and V together in a drama so badly.

When I first saw this, I cried. And her voice will take you up.
