I really preferred this review format. Intro video on the process, motor review, bike reviews. Good work doing your own thing, it’s off to a good start

Compared to the DH bike shootout I like the format of these videos more. The increased use of b-roll and clips of the bikes, and with the backdrop of the bike lineup for the review is really nice, but it keeps the core "talk to the viewer" form.

With Avoninox being able to put so much power and torque into a relatively small motor and especially battery pack, it would be sick to see them put that technology into making a 750w 80Nm 600Wh package as small and light as possible, I feel like that’s what almost everyone actually wants

Great points on this dudes. I think most people agree that what makes avinox compelling is not so much the power but the package as a whole (fast charging, slim downtube, ease of use and tuning with the touchscreen.) That said I’m loving the Bosch gen 5 on my bullit. I run it mostly in turbo and it has plenty of power with the only downside being the 20mph cutoff on higher speed trails. Looking forward to the rest of this review series.

I just KNEW this would be an "Avinox best cause reasons " video. The reality is you can't really go wrong with any of the modern motors.

The new TLD kits are dope

I've had my Spesh Levo 4 for over a year and half.  This motor is one of the best in the market.  This bike feels like a natural bike even on Turbo Mode.  Also has plenty of tuning options.

I have the bosch gen 4 motor on my bike and the 85nm is plenty of power for me . I’ve been riding it for two seasons and zero problems. My only wish is as the tech gets better, we see lighter bikes with the same power and range . I dont need 120nm of torque. My current bike weighs 56lbs , would be nice to have something in the 45lbs range without paying 15k for a bike .

I think Nick is absolutely right, the motors do all just work...unfortunately a lot of bike manufacturers advertise the motors as the most important selling point, instead of focusing on the real important things like geo, kinematics, frame stiffness etc.

Curious if you're going to touch on weight from longer batteries being near the head tube on some bikes and how it affects handling/feel.

Great explanation of the issues I’ve also felt with the Bosch motor on my SC Bullit. If you don’t tune it properly you are completely out of control on techy climbs with how punchy and unpredictable it is. Looking forward to the rest of the series, your bike reviews are goated!

Tried all of them (as a - currently - non-ebiker) and I actually liked the bosch the most. Once you know when the power burst comes you can use it for pedal kicks etc. Ton of fun in my opinion.
