No one is coming to save us. The tools protecting our privacy are being built by a scrappy community of hackers and hobbyists on shoestring budgets — and anyone can join the fight.

For everyone asking about the device at the 9-min mark, it's the Simulacra, link added to description

WE are private citizens, they should know nothing about us.
THEY are public servants, we should know everything about them.

Naomi, my community got those flock cameras taken down.. and I have been saying "No one is coming to save us, we have to save ourself" for years!

👋 re: Flock, Louis Rossman made a good point yesterday when he said they're going to shift from recognizable brands to blending it in on streetlights so you can't even see that any device is even there!

The problem was the people who were of the “ I’ve nothing to hide,they can listen to me but they will be bored” attitude that helped them get this identity grape

1984 was a warning not a blueprint.

Never has the words "eternal vigilance" been more relevant in today's world.

Flock has been proven hackable and able to track far more information than just speed and plates... ALL CAMERAS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!

While these "toys" are good for detecting, what we really need is the tools to block or permanently disable all the surveillance surrounding us. If we can disable flock cameras as we encounter them, Flock, the government, law enforcement will soon get it, we don't want to be surveilled.

Here's the crazy thing: surveillance AI has the potential to create priority lists based on who views videos like this, who buys this type of tech and even who's interested if they're not browsing in some sort of protected way

@pedraw 1 month ago

The flock camera detector and the rayhunter look very interesting. Now we need tech to disable or defeat those evil technologies.

I found it funny that during Colonel Panic's interview, there was what looked like a cam on the pole right outside the window while he was talking about how much surveillance was out there...

This video needs more attention! All videos fighting mass surveillance need more attention! I’m actually building flock detectors and handing them out to my friends and coworkers. I hope someone builds a tool where automated flock detection tools upload the location of the cameras to deflock automatically.

Someone designed a 3d printed cover for flock cameras I saw it on the internet the other day. I am sure they will use this as another reason to try and put legislation in place to control 3d printers and force registration.
