I love watching you troubleshoot issues as they come up, rather than just showing us a perfect final product! You got me to finally tackle my jeans that needed altering (they've been pinned and on a shelf for a month because I was scared of messing them up!)
Damn girl it was a pleasure to look at you go I didn't even realise I was 40min in X) It's just incredible to see you go for it without a specific plan and readjust and problem solve, I think it is a very good method (I tend to overthink to the point of not doing the project bc it becomes too much) and I've seen a lot of sewing videos and I sew a lot but some of your improvised solutions I've never seen elsewhere and I will use them !! So thank you for this very cool video!
watched the 1h video while knitting and it was so rassuring seeing you having the same struggles as me with sewing!! the tier list idea was a funny surprise (love the hugo boss blouse fit, it looks sooo pretty on you 😌)
Your voice is so calming amidst the chaos of your projects lol My favourite was the skirt, but I wished the stars contrasted a bit more. It's good to use the fabric scraps tho so idrk The last blouse looks amazing on you too!!
There are a type of pliers to put on those kinda eyelets (and also snap buttons n such) and I find them soooo, soooo much easier to use, hence they also make for better results (and no noise xD ), so I'd definitely recommend seeing if you can find some if you plan to use them more often.
I keep saying to my boyfriend I need to buy a sewing machine, I think about it since I gifted one to my brother a few years ago x) Yes even seeing you struggling with the second top is tempting me to invest in a sewing machine xD
omg I loved the sheering on the black one but the saxophones kept getting louder. :D <3
Also, do you know you can let your machine re-ravel the thread below - (I have no clue if you get what I mean, I wanted to stay in english because of your target audience, but I'm just too bad. Ich meine, dass du den Unterfaden von deiner Maschine auf die kleine Rolle umfädeln lassen kannst) You may have not done it because of the elastic thread, which could be a valid reason, I dont know :D Or its just the editing and I sound like a freak now haha :D
You definitely inspired me to tackle my drawer of upcycling stuff. <3
Love your tenacity, stick to it, it will help you if you start making garments from scratch. Even experienced sewist make mistakes and need to take out seams and redo. Ive been sewing for 60 plus years. Sown thousands of garments. Still make mistakes.
The shirring would have been so much nicer if you'd done it on the back of that one top! :o something cinching in the back to leave the front clean and smooth while also making it form fitting. In the front it creates an awkward boxy bust, I agree it's kind of ugly and definitely not flattering to you :')
