Act I of this video can be found here: https://youtu.be/M4nGg3zKROs

Was watching part 1 recently and my wife walked in, sat down, and watched the last 45 minutes with me. She asked me to take her through the entire story. Ive never been so proud to start MGS3 before.

Edit: Update, we are on the final arc of MGS3 now where Volgan chases us on the motorcycle. Some proud and memorable moments I wanted to share with fans were when my wife said "Wait a minute, Eva never said the password. Is she the other spy?" "The Boss has been sending the Cobra's at us one at a time, I don't think she really means to kill us." "Wait, Ocillot could have killed us like 4 times now but he's openly attacked his own forces and let us fight Volgan....What's his angle in this?"

Edit 2: Finished MGS3, she lost her mind at the phone call. Taking a break before PW.

Johnny always shitting himself (lol) in my opinion was actually a smart bit of foreshadowing, bc he doesn’t have nanomachines to help suppress his bubble guts

Boss, you killed a child...
Amazing, mission complete! That right there is why you're the best, Boss. The One and Only!

Fun fact, Johnny is in every mgs, his grandfather is in mgs3, and it is confirmed its the same johnny. He's always had the stomach problems, and he inherited it genetically.

might be a hot take but the heated corridor scene, to me, is THE best sequence in the entirety of the series. The stakes, the struggle, the tension, everybody on the back foot but STILL fighting. C I N E M A

I'm from South Africa and have travelled and lived in parts of southern Africa for several years. Your pronunciation is on point, son. Get your brother, we're going McDonalds.

MGS4 is still my 2nd favorite in the series next to MGS3. 16 years later I still jump on it every few years on my old PS3.

I want you to know I watched these with my newborn who doesn’t let me sleep. These came right on time dude

Mgsv was my first metal gear and then i got hooked and its my obsession now for the last 10 years🤣 i can’t wait to experience delta

This is random, but I always like using grey camos on the octocamo too, with the navy blue vest. Trying to capture that classic sneaking suit look!

The parody stuff from MGS4 feels kinda like an inspiration for the reboot attempt of Devil May Cry. That world was also a parody in much the same ways.

Half of my shift just got increasingly more intricate. Thanks for the meal

Now this is certainly a blessing to wake up to

On my first playthrough I managed to sneak into the main convoy vehicle and just pushed the pedal to the floor.

Since then I have tried all possible options but never have I ever had success again with pure stealth.

The Peace Walker bosses were designed for Co-Op??

That explains a few things.

bro wait what if Revengence is less a spiritual ancestor to MGS2 and more a secret and canon sequel to Policenauts? I mean: it is the secret and canon sequel to Policenauts as evidenced by the Tokugawa Heavy Industries logo stamped on Raiden's forehead or missing jawbone or something. and white blood.

Im about 2 hours in and i only have one regret. I wish i had played these games before watching. MGS never really appealed to me because i dont like stealth games, but just a few minutes into your review i felt an itch to try.

Once these videos fade a bit from my memory i think ill be giving the series a try for myself.

This was a reaply wonderful retrospective. You did a great job with all these videos.

I want to thank you especially for having a reasonable opinion on the completeness of MGSV. After 9 years it still feels like every conversation about this game boils down to, "Game not finished," with people claiming an entire HALF the game was cut. It's just really refreshing to hear someone echo many of the same thoughts I've had. I think like MGS2 years ago, people are coming around on V.

Can we all appreciate how he almost made a 6 hour video that’s part 1 of 2 and part 1 was uploaded in 30 minutes before part 2 was. Unbelievable upload schedule. I expected a 10 hour video upload and then another 10 hour video in 30 minutes between each other.
